Logan Thomas Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Washington is placing TE Logan Thomas (knee) on IR. It's his 2nd trip to IR, which ends his 2021 season. We're still waiting for more details on Thomas' knee injury and whether it'll impact his 2022 campaign. It'll be rookie John Bates and Ricky Seals-Jones, who seems close to returning from his hip injury, at TE for Washington the rest of the way.

Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports that Washington TE Logan Thomas avoided an ACL tear. HC Ron Rivera told reporters that Thomas' MRI came back better than expected. He said further testing is needed to confirm, so we'll see about the final diagnosis here. We're certainly betting on Thomas to miss some time. We'll see whether he has a shot to return this year.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Washington TE Logan Thomas "likely" tore both the ACL and MCL in his left knee in Sunday's win over the Raiders. That would obviously end the TE's season and potentially challenge the start of his 2022 campaign. We'll see how he progresses through the offseason. TE Ricky Seals-Jones appeared close to returning this week and would likely re-assume lead TE duties if healthy in Week 14. Rookie John Bates figures to factor in as well.

Washington TE Logan Thomas hurt his left knee in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. He was able to limp off the field under his own power. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Thomas was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game.

Washington TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) is active for tonight's game against the Seahawks. It'll be his first action since Week 4. HC Ron Rivera said earlier this week that Thomas would be on a snap count, making him a risky fantasy bet.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo confirms that Washington TE Logan Thomas and WR Curtis Samuel (groin) are expected to play vs. the Seahawks tonight. Thomas has been out since Week 4; Samuel since Week 5. HC Ron Rivera said earlier this week that both guys would be on snap counts tonight, making them shaky fantasy plays.

Washington TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) is expected to be activated from IR and play vs. the Seahawks on Monday night, according to ESPN's John Keim. Thomas has been out since Week 4 and will be on a snap count, HC Ron Rivera said. That obviously adds downside to Thomas' Week 12 fantasy outlook. TE Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) is listed as doubtful for the Monday nighter.

Washington TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) is set to return to practice this week, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Thomas still hasn't been "fully cleared," Rapoport adds, so it's unclear if he'll be ready to play vs. the Seahawks on Sunday. Thomas has been out since October 6. We'll keep an eye on his progress.

Washington HC Ron Rivera basically ruled TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) out for Sunday's game vs. the Bucs. "He’s just not ready to be put on the football field and that’s probably the biggest thing," Rivera said. "We have to be smart about that." Thomas reportedly experienced some soreness in that hamstring after practicing on Monday. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 11. Ricky Seals-Jones is again a low-end fantasy starter for Week 10.

Washington TE Logan Thomas' hamstring was sore after Monday's practice, HC Ron Rivera said. Rivera added that a decision on Thomas' Week 10 status won't be made until Friday. None of that is very encouraging. At this point, fantasy owners can't be counting on Thomas this week.

Washington TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) was working off to the side of Monday's post-bye practice, according to The Washington Post's Nick Jhabvala. Thomas has a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. We'll track his progress throughout the rest of the week.

Washington expects TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) to return to practice following the Week 9 bye. That presumably puts Thomas on track to return for Week 10's game vs. the Bucs. TE Ricky Seals-Jones played well in Thomas' absence, but expect Thomas to re-emerge as the starter -- and a low-end TE1 in fantasy lineups.

Washington TE Logan Thomas (hamstring) has been placed on IR. That knocks him out for at least the next 3 weeks, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Thomas is expected to miss "at least 4 weeks." He can be dropped in shallower fantasy leagues. In a corresponding move, Washington signed former Packers TE Jace Sternberger. We'll see how snaps are divvied between Sternberger and Ricky Seals-Jones, who stepped in as Washington's lead TE after Thomas left last week's game.

Washington TE Logan Thomas is considered "week to week" with the hamstring injury he sustained in Sunday's game vs. the Falcons, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Fantasy owners should plan on being without Thomas for at least Week 5. Ricky Seals-Jones replaced Thomas as Washington's lead TE yesterday. He caught just 2 of 4 targets but ran 35 pass routes. He might be worth considering as a DFS tournament play with Thomas out.

Washington TE Logan Thomas suffered a hamstring injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game vs. Atlanta and is done for the day. We'll look for an update on the severity.

Washington has agreed to a 3-year extension with TE Logan Thomas, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. We haven't seen the terms yet, but this development obviously points to the team wanting Thomas as a key piece beyond this season. That enhances the dynasty outlook for a player who just turned 30 coming off his 1st year with more than 16 receptions. It also gives at least a slight boost to Thomas' 2021 outlook, solidifying his standing with the team.
