Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp injured his left ankle near the end of the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He's been deemed doubtful to return. We'll look for further updates on the injury, but this could be disastrous for a Rams team already without WR Puka Nacua for at least three more games -- and likely more. L.A. is now down to WRs Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell, and Jordan Whittington.

QB Jayden Daniels struggled in the red zone in Sunday's game vs. the Giants. K Austin Seibert nailed seven FGs to get Washington the win, but Daniels finished without a TD. He played well enough otherwise. The rookie completed 23 of 29 passes (79%) for 226 yards (7.8 YPA) and no INTs, adding 44 more yards on 10 carries. The Giants clearly made it a point to limit Daniels' rushing after his huge Week 1. They kept him bottled up for the most part -- but Daniels still posted a nice rushing total thanks to four runs of 9+ yards.

Patriots TE Hunter Henry had a breakout performance with a stat line of eight catches on 12 targets for 109 yards. Henry was the focal point of the Patriots’ receiving game more than doubling the targets of any other Patriots pass catcher. Though he didn’t score a TD, it was a great fantasy performance.

RB Rhamondre Stevenson once again led the Patriots backfield in carries with a final stat line of 21 carries for 81 yards and a TD against the Seahawks. He was also targeted five times in the passing game, though he only had two receptions for nine yards. It was a solid performance again for Stevenson, despite fellow RB Antonio Gibson also earning double-digit carries.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet started at RB and ended with a final stat line of 14 rushes for 38 yards and a TD. He also added five catches on five targets for 31 yards. He filled in for the injured RB Kenneth Walker III and did not have a great rushing performance only averaging 2.7 yards per carry, but found the end zone and had success catching the ball.

Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a breakout performance in Week 2 against the Patriots with a final stat line of 12 catches on 16 targets for 117 yards. JSN was used mostly as a slot WR, but had a few catches on the outside as well. After a disappointing Week 1, JSN bounced back in a big way leading the team in targets.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf ended with a final stat line of 10 catches on 14 targets for 129 yards and a TD. He caught the 56-yard TD in the first quarter and was heavily involved in the Seahawks game plan after a disappointing Week 1. Metcalf still looked to be the primary X WR for the Seahawks and should continue to be used a ton.

Raiders rookie TE Brock Bowers went off with a final stat line of nine catches on all nine of his targets. He nearly had a TD, being downed at the one-yard line. In a game where the Raiders were trailing for most of the second half, QB Gardner Minshew threw the ball 38 times. Bowers was second behind WR Davante Adams in targets for the Raiders.

Raiders WR Davante Adams had a final stat line of nine receptions on 12 targets for 110 yards and a TD. In a game where the Raiders were trailing for most of the game, QB Gardner Minshew threw the ball 38 times. Adams led the Raiders in targets.

Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins delivered for fantasy managers in a Week 2 win over Carolina. Seeing 17 carries, the former Raven busted off 131 yards and 1 TD. He tallied a run of 40+ yards for the second straight week.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews ended with a final stat line of four catches on five targets for 51 yards. He bounced back a bit after Week 1 and had more targets, catches and yards than fellow TE Isaiah Likely.

Ravens RB Derrick Henry led the Ravens backfield again with a final stat line of 18 rushes for 84 yards and a TD. He even added a reception for 12 yards.. Henry got more and more effective as the Raiders defense tired out toward the end of the game.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson ended with a final stat line consistening of 21 completions on 34 passes for 247 yards including a TD and Int. He had 45 yards rushing on five carries as well in the Ravens loss. The Raiders bottled up the Ravens early in the game with no Ravens TD scored in the entire first half. It was a disappointing performance by Jackson and the offense given what looked like a great match-up on paper against the Raiders secondary.

Reed had a final stat line of two receptions on two targets for only nine yards.. He was Questionable with a Calf/Shin injury, but ultimately played in the game against the Colts. Unfortunately, it resulted in a less than stellar fantasy day with Malik Willis despite Reed lining up all over the formation, including at RB.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks breaks out a bit with QB Malik Willis throwing the ball scoring a first half TD. His final stat line was three receptions on four targets for 26 yards and that lone TD.. It is promising that he had a connection with Willis since QB Jordan Love is likely to miss at least two more weeks.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor ended with a final stat line of 12 rushes for 103 yards as well as two receptions on four targets for 32 yards. Taylor did the heavy lifting for the Colts offense early averaging seven yards per carry in the first half, but the Colts were only able to muster 10 points against the Packers.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson ended with a final stat line, completing 17 of 34 passes for 204 yards, one TD, and three INTs. he also ran for 37 yards on four carries. Richardson had one of the worst early outings of his young career with less than 50 yards passing in the first half and no rushing yards.

Packers RB Josh Jacobs ended with a final stat line of 32 carries for 151 yards, but no receptions in the game. The offense was put on Jacobs shoulders early running the ball 20 times in the first half for 128 yards. He did have a fumble at the goal line, giving the ball away to the Colts.

Jets Edge Jermaine Johnson II left Sunday's win over the Titans with an Achilles' injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team believes Johnson tore the tendon. He's headed for an MRI to confirm.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson suffered a quad contusion in the Week 2 win over the 49ers, HC Kevin O'Connell said afterward. “It’s pretty sore but he’s already up and moving," O'Connell added. "We’ll treat that thing and hopefully he’ll be day to day.”
