Commanders adding Byron Pringle

The Commanders are signing WR Byron Pringle to a one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Pringle spent last season with the Bears but managed just 10 catches for 135 yards on 16 targets across 11 games. Injuries limited his chances to contribute at various points. Pringle has exceeded 13 receptions in just one of his four NFL seasons. So don't bet on a significant contribution in Washington -- barring injury to at least one starter.

Bears WR Chase Claypool (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bills. With WRs Darnell Mooney and Equanimeous St. Brown also out, Chicago is down to WRs Byron Pringle, Dante Pettis, Velus Jones and N’Keal Harry.

Bears WR Equanimeous St. Brown sustained a concussion in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles and has been ruled out. That leaves Chicago with WRs Dante Pettis, Byron Pringle and Velus Jones.

Bears WR Chase Claypool (knee) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. We don't have any details on his injury, but Claypool didn't practice all week. With WR Darnell Mooney also out, Chicago is down to WRs Equanimeous St. Brown, Dante Pettis, Byron Pringle, N'Keal Harry and Velus Jones. TE Cole Kmet is the clear favorite to lead the Bears in targets this weekend.

The Bears have placed WR Byron Pringle on IR with an injury to his right calf. That will knock him out for at least 4 games. Pringle -- coming off preseason injury issues -- only managed 26 total snaps through the 1st 3 contests. So his absence shouldn't mean too much impact, especially for an offense vehemently opposed to throwing the ball.
