We’ll see if Ferguson can make it back for Week 3. TEs Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford split work after Ferguson exited the opener. Neither is a viable Week 2 fantasy play.
Jake Ferguson Doubtful for Week 2
After suffering a bone bruise and MCL sprain, Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson is officially doubtful for Week 2. It was unlikely that he would play so soon after the injury, but there was some optimism around his potential to play through the injury. After not practicing all week, it is very very unlikely that Ferguson suits up.
Could Jake Ferguson Play Week 2?
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that he's "optimistic" about TE Jake Ferguson's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. Ferguson was diagnosed with an MCL sprain, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said he'd "miss time." But it sounds like the injury might be less severe than initially thought. We'll keep an eye on Ferguson's status throughout this week.
