The Falcons on Thursday agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with former Broncos S Justin Simmons. That should install Simmons as the starter next to Jessie Bates III.
Josey Jewell, Justin Simmons limited
Broncos LB Josey Jewell (hip) and S Justin Simmons (hip) each put in limited practices Wednesday. Both players missed Week 4, so we'll need to watch their participation through the week. This marks improvement for Jewell, who missed Wednesday and Thursday practices last week. Simmons opened Week 4 limited as well.

Broncos S Justin Simmons (hip) is inactive for today's game against the Bears. That means Delarrin Turner-Yell will start in his place again. The Broncos have downgraded S Justin Simmons (knee) to out for today's game against the Titans. P.J. Locke looks like the next man up, with S Caden Sterns on IR. Locke -- in his 3rd season -- has never started an NFL game and thus doesn't make for a terrific IDP option this week.
