Lions TE Sam LaPorta has been diagnosed with a low-ankle sprain, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "Relative good news," Fowler adds.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

LaPorta tried to play through this injury in the second half of the Week 3 win over the Cardinals but was clearly hobbled. It sounds like he avoided a significant injury, but LaPorta is not a lock to be effective -- or even play -- vs. the Seahawks next Monday night. The extra day of rest will help LaPorta's chances of playing but could also leave fantasy owners in a tough spot if he ends up as a game-time decision.

Brock Wright would slide in as Detroit's lead TE if LaPorta is out, but you should be able to do better in fantasy lineups.
