Colts QB Joe Flacco threw for 359 yards and 3 TDs in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, filling in for the injured Anthony Richardson. He completed 33 of 44 passes, took 4 sacks, avoided INTs, but lost a fumble. Flacco hit WR Michael Pittman Jr., WR Alec Pierce, and TE Mo Alie-Cox for scores. He also rushed for 22 yards on three attempts.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Flacco benefited from facing a Jacksonville defense that has been worst in the league against the pass by DVOA and second most friendly to QB fantasy scoring, by our adjusted fantasy points allowed (entering Week 5).
Having him in the lineup has clearly been good for Indy pass-catchers the past two weeks, though -- especially the WRs.
When Richardson left Week 4 after just four pass attempts, Colts WRs had caught 30 passes on 55 targets from him through 3+ games.
In roughly one and three-quarters games, Flacco has completed 33 passes to WRs among 49 targets.
We'll see about Richardson's availability for a Week 6 visit to Tennessee, but he seems to be trending toward being ready. Indy listed Richardson as a limited practice participant each day this past week and initially called him questionable vs. the Jaguars.
Bet on Indy going back to the young QB once he's physically ready.
