Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw for 264 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Browns. That -- plus 33 yards rushing -- was enough to rank him sixth among Week 6 fantasy QBs heading into the Sunday night game.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
The Browns haven't proved nearly as tough on defense so far this year but did enter Week 6 ranked a solid 13th in pass-defense DVOA.
Hurts wasn't sharp but completed a decent 64% of his 25 pass attempts. The Eagles racked up a lot of their production on a few long plays.
Hurts hit A.J. Brown in the end zone from 22 yards out for the team's first TD in the middle of the second quarter. His other scoring toss found DeVonta Smith for a 45-yard catch-and-run.
Hurts added a 40-yard connection with Brown and a short pass to TE Grant Calcaterra that turned into a 34-yard gain.
Those four plays accounted for 53.4% of Hurts' passing yards for the game.
This marked the first time since Week 1 that he had Brown back, as well as Smith's return from a one-game concussion. And Hurts lost TE Dallas Goedert early to injury.
It was also the first time in five games that he didn't turn the ball over.
Hurts ultimately had a positive outing in Week 6 -- but not to the point that we can say he's ready to deliver the elite production we expected when drafting him.
A favorable upcoming schedule should help. Philly visits the Giants and Bengals the next two weeks and then hosts the Jaguars.
If Hurts can't boost his production over the next three games, it might be time to sell.
