Sam LaPorta Hits 6 Targets for Third Time in Four Games

Lions TE Sam LaPorta didn't reach 6 targets in any of the Lions' first six games this season. He has now down so in three of his past four, surrounding an inactive Week 11. LaPorta's 6 targets in Sunday's win over the Colts trailed co-leaders Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams (7 apiece) but beat No. 4, WR Tim Patrick, by two.

LaPorta drew just 8.4% target share through Week 7. Since then -- excluding the game he missed -- LaPorta has drawn a target on 20.4% of Jard Goff's pass attempts.

That has meant just 21 total targets over that span because of Detroit's limited passing volume. But even that obviously marks an improvement over how LaPorta began the season.

Don't expect a big finish to the year, with Detroit facing a string of defenses that have been friendlier to RB scoring than passing offenses. But LaPorta should be OK for regular fantasy use in the league's most efficient offense.
