Jonnu Smith Saves Fantasy Managers in OT

Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith went all of regulation without recording a catch. Then in overtime, the veteran caught all 3 targets for 44 yards and a game-winning score.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Call it a surprise outcome for Smith, especially considering Tua Tagovailoa attempted 47 passes. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle simply dominated targets in this one, limiting Smith to an 8.5% target share.  Still, he delivered his fourth TD over the past four games.

Now, it’s worth noting that the Jets supplied a difficult matchup for opposing TEs. The next two weeks also supply tough matchups – at Houston, vs. San Francisco – but Smith will remain a viable TE1 on projected volume.
