Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. managed just 65 rushing yards in Sunday's win over the Saints, who arrived as one of the league's worst run defenses. Robinson did so on 21 carries (3.1 per rush), controlling 87.5% of the team's RB carries for the game. Robinson added 3 receptions for 22 yards on 3 targets.
New Orleans entered the game allowing 5.0 yards per rush to RBs and tied for second-most rushing scores allowed to the position.
That makes Robinson's lack of Week 15 production especially disappointing. But he entered the day averaging a solid 4.6 yards per catch and in positive territory in rush yards over expected per attempt (0.29).
So it's not yet time to worry ... at least until you look at his next opponent.
Robinson gets a rematch with the Eagles. He managed a solid fantasy outing in the first meeting, but scoring a TD helped quite a bit.
Robinson averaged just 3.9 yards per rush across 16 carries in that game. He did, however, manage his third-most yards after contact per carry (3.50) of the season in that game.
Philly entered Week 15 as the third-worst scoring matchup for RBs. You'll want to try to sit Robinson if possible.
Week 17 brings a home date with Atlanta, which has been sixth-worst for RB scoring. But the Falcons are trending toward entering that as an underdog, which could help make it a decent spot.
