Deebo Samuel Headshot

49ers WR Deebo Samuel broke out of a slump with 7 catches, 96 yards, and 1 score in Week 16. That snapped a seven-game scoreless streak.

Samuel added 25 rushing yards on five carries -- only three fewer than fill-in RB Patrick Taylor.

Samuel’s top highlight came on his second quarter TD. After catching a quick slant, Deebo powered through a couple of would-be tacklers. Call it a vintage run for the once-elite fantasy WR.

He’ll look for a repeat performance next week against Detroit’s beat up defense. Consider Samuel a risk/reward WR3 for that one.

Other Winners and Losers

WR Jauan Jennings caught 4 of 6 targets for 51 yards. That followed a 2-31 performance against the Rams. Still, Jennings' role will keep him in the WR2/3 mix for Sunday's matchup vs. Detroit.

TE George Kittle led the 49ers with 8 grabs for 106 yards. He busted off chunk gains of 24 and 28 yards and remains a no-doubt TE1.
