Week 12 FanDuel Picks

Top Plays for FanDuel Cash Games and Tournaments

Here are the guys I’m considering for FanDuel Week 12:

Week 12

Cash Game Quarterback

Drake Maye, Patriots ($6,900) at Dolphins

As usual, I’m looking right to the top of our FanDuel dollar-per-point ranks. And that’s where Maye resides for the main slate, boosted by a discounted price of $6.9K.

The Miami matchup isn’t ideal, but pass volume figures to favor the rookie. He’s finished as a top-15 fantasy QB in all five of his full starts.

Tournament Quarterback 

Anthony Richardson, Colts ($7,500) at Lions

Richardson blew away expectations last week vs. the Jets, particularly on the efficiency front. He completed 66.7% of his passes en route to a season-high 30.1 fantasy points.

The matchup looks less friendly this week vs. Detroit. Still, game script should dictate plenty of drop backs – and scramble opportunities – against the high-scoring Lions.

On the other side, the Lions will be without key LB Alex Anzalone. CB Terrion Arnold popped up on Thursday’s injury report with a groin.

Cash Game Running Back

Josh Jacobs, Packers ($7,600) vs. 49ers

Jacobs carries a mid-range price tag into a fine matchup with San Francisco.

The 49ers sit 27th in PFF’s rush defense grade; 19th in rush defense DVOA. Now, the team might be without star EDGE Nick Bosa (hip, oblique).

Meanwhile, the Packers have fed Jacobs 15+ touches in six straight. An uncertain Brock Purdy could help tilt game script in the direction of even more Green Bay rushing.

Tony Pollard, Titans ($6,500) vs. Texans

Pollard is priced as if Tyjae Spears will play on Sunday.

But that’s not the case given Spears’ concussion. That’ll help boost Pollard’s workload against a good Texans run D. In three prior games without Spears, the former Cowboy averaged nearly 26 opportunities per outing.

Tournament Running Back

Aaron Jones, Vikings ($7,300) at Bears

Jones has gone four straight games – and 81 touches – without scoring. 

Sunday gives him a shot to snap the streak against a run-funnel Bears defense. On a per game basis, they’ve allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to RBs over the past five weeks.

The Vikings should get a good push up front with DT Andrew Billings still out for Chicago.

Javonte Williams, Broncos ($6,200) at Vegas

This might feel like chasing points. But at $6.2K, Williams is worth a shot in a plus spot vs. Vegas. 

Last week, he returned to his lead back role, seeing a 53% carry share in line with his season average. Of course, that followed a week with one carry, so you're absorbing some risk here.

The Raiders are allowing 101.2 yards 1.1 RB scores per game. They’re bottom-12 in fantasy points allowed to the position.

Cash Game Wide Receivers

Courtland Sutton, Broncos ($7,100) at Vegas

Sutton slots top three in our FanDuel dollar-per-point ranks.

He’s benefiting from an improved Bo Nix, who’s put himself in the Rookie of the Year discussion. Sutton’s hit 6+ catches and 70+ yards in each of the past four weeks.

Calvin Ridley, Titans ($6,300) at Texans

Ridley’s posted lines of 5-84-2 and 4-58 over the past two weeks. He’s totaled 15 targets over the small stretch.

That small sample accounts for both of his games with Will Levis – and without DeAndre Hopkins. But it’s reasonable to expect another fantasy-friendly workload given Tennessee’s lack of pass catchers. The Titans are also installed as 7.5-point underdogs.

Tournament Wide Receivers

A.J. Brown, Eagles ($8,500) at Rams

Brown's hit a 32% target share in all but one game this season.

With DeVonta Smith dealing with a hamstring injury, Brown should continue seeing a clear WR1 workload.

Rome Odunze, Bears ($5,400) vs. Vikings

Price is a huge factor here. But there’s also a chance the Bears play this game without Keenan Allen, who’s tallied a 25% target share this season.

The Bears showed some life on offense in game one under OC Thomas Brown. Now, they get a Vikings defense that’s allowed the third-most fantasy points to WRs.

Cash Game Tight End

Hunter Henry, Patriots ($5,200) at Dolphins

Henry’s hit at least a 21% target share in all but two of Drake Maye's starts. He’s an easy way to save some cash, especially at a position that looks relatively weak.

Tournament Tight End

Trey McBride, Cardinals ($6,700) at Seahawks

Somehow, McBride has yet to catch a TD pass this season. That’s despite seeing a team-leading 27% of Arizona’s red zone targets. McBride's figure ranks third among TEs.

The young TE has also reached 50 yards in five of his past six outings.

His TD luck will turn around at some point, and Sunday looks like a fine spot. The Cardinals are implied for 24.25 points against Seattle – seventh most on the slate.

Chicago Bears ($3,900) vs. Minnesota Vikings
