Aaron Jones "Unlikely" To Play Week 3

Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell said Monday that RB Aaron Jones is "unlikely" to play vs. the Bengals this weekend, according to ESPN's Kevin Seifert. Jones was knocked out of Sunday night's loss to the Falcons with a hamstring injury. We'll look for more details on the severity, but it wouldn't be surprising if Jones missed multiple games.

RB Jordan Mason is a big winner here. Jones' absence leaves Zavier Scott as Minnesota's No. 2 RB, with Ty Chandler on IR. Scott went undrafted back in 2023 after playing college ball at UConn and Maine. He's yet to play an offensive snap in the NFL.

Mason should dominate backfield work for a Vikings offense that needs to lean on the run with QB Carson Wentz set to start this weekend.
