NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that WR Terry McLaurin has been ruled OUT for Week 5. McLaurin, WR Noah Brown, and G Sam Cosmi will not travel to Los Angeles to face the Chargers.
McLaurin was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, but evidently wasn't close to returning from the quad injury that also kept him out in Week 4.
Earlier this week, HC Dan Quinn said McLaurin was "trending up," but the team ultimately decided to give him another week to get closer to full health.
QB Jayden Daniels also missed two starts but is expected to be under center to face the Chargers.
Last week, with McLaurin out, the Commanders gave Chris Moore 40 snaps. Moore drew 3 targets but failed to make a catch. In Week 3, he caught 2-of-2 targets for 25 yards.
Moore is little more than a desperation flex play but he did catch a 34-yard pass from Daniels in Week 1
Luke McCaffrey (21 snaps) and Jaylin Lane (25 snaps) will continue to split WR3 duties.
