D.K. Metcalf Puts Up Second Straight Dud

Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf put up his second straight dud game going 3-35-0 on 7 targets. This comes off the heels of a 2-6-0 game last week. The struggles of the Steelers’ passing game have affected Metcalf, especially with the slow pace of play for the Steelers. With QB Aaron Rodgers spreading the ball around, Metcalf’s floor will be near zero every week moving forward.

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

The Steelers passing game struggled throughout the game. QB Aaron Rodgers ended up going 16 for 31 for 161 yards and 2 INTs. He also had a garbage time TD to WR Roman Wilson.

Instead, the team relied on RB Jaylen Warren who went 14-70-0 on the ground along with catching both of his targets for 21 yards. He had a clean hurdle in the third quarter to pick up a first down, the highlight play of his career so far.

The Steelers offense had their worst performance of the season with the hot streak of Rodgers coming to a halt. This simply won’t be an offense to rely upon with their slower pace of play. If the passing game isn’t working, they could be held to single digits pretty easily moving forward.

The only positive for Metcalf is the schedule moving forward. He has the ninth easiest WR fantasy schedule moving forward while Rodgers has the fifth easiest QB schedule.

Even in good match-ups, they can’t really be trusted.
