Andrews edged Likely in playing time (44 snaps to 39) and pass routes (23-17) Sunday against the Vikings. That marked the first time since Week 5 that he ran more routes than Likely.
His 3 TDs over the past two games have come on just 5 receptions for 36 total yards. Andrews hasn't exceeded 34 yards in a game since Week 3. Most of that stretch included Lamar Jackson being sidelined, but the QB's been back for the past two contests.
Likely returned from his summer foot injury for the Week 4 loss in Kansas City but played just 47% of the snaps and saw no targets in that game.
He has topped 50% and seen at least one target in every week since. Andrews has averaged just 4.0 targets, 2.8 receptions, and 23.2 yards per game since Week 5.
His role doesn't seem likely to shrink further, and the veteran obviously remains a key red-zone target for a strong offense. So Andrews will remain a fringe weekly starting candidate for fantasy leagues.
But if you're sitting on Andrews plus another decent-to-good TE, see if you can sell the Baltimore vet on the strength of his recent TDs.
Likely, meanwhile, has averaged just 2.8 targets and 2.0 receptions per game since his second week back. He remains basically unusable in fantasy with a healthy Andrews -- but is probably the league's best handcuff type at the position.
