Clyde Edwards-Helaire Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He comes up 50 yards short of his first 1,000-yard rushing season. RB Kendre Miller (concussion) is also out, leaving the backfield to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jordan Mims, and Jamaal Williams. Edwards-Helaire is the best bet for touches but would be a desperation fantasy play. The Saints are 14-point underdogs.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (groin) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He’ll come up 50 yards short of his first 1,000-yard rushing season. RB Kendre Miller (concussion) has been ruled out, so we’re looking at Clyde Edwards-Helaire as New Orleans’ likely lead back in the finale, with RBs Jordan Mims and Jamaal Williams behind him. Try to avoid this backfield in fantasy lineups. The Saints are 16.5-point underdogs with a 15-point implied total.

Saints RB Kendre Miller left for a concussion check in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. His absence leaves New Orleans with RBs Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jamaal Williams. We'll update Miller's status when we know more.

Update: Miller has been ruled out. It's his first documented concussion.

Saints RB Jordan Mims is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Raiders. RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who signed with New Orleans a couple of weeks ago, is active. Insider Nick Underhill expects a "real role" for Edwards-Helaire today. He's not a fantasy option, but expect the Saints to stick with a three-RB committee with Kendre Miller, Jamaal Williams, and Edwards-Helaire.

The Saints signed RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire to the practice squad. It could be a sign that they're expecting to be without RB Alvin Kamara (groin) for Monday night's game vs. the Packers. Edwards-Helaire did not touch the ball for the Chiefs this season after averaging just 3.2 yards per carry last year. He won't be a fantasy factor the rest of this season. RB Kendre Miller remains a good bet to control backfield work if Kamara misses time.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is inactive for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He was off the final injury report, so Kansas City is just opting to roll with RBs Kareem Hunt, Carson Steele, and Samaje Perine.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. It’s still unclear if he’ll make his 2024 debut vs. the 49ers on Sunday. Edwards-Helaire should not be in your fantasy plans, but his return would add a bit more risk to RB Kareem Hunt’s Week 7 outlook.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He returned to three limited practices this week but isn't yet ready to make his 2024 debut. That'll again leave Kansas City's backfield to Kareem Hunt, Samaje Perine, and Carson Steele. Hunt wound up leading the way last week and is the best Week 5 fantasy bet.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been designated to return from the non-football illness list. He missed the first four games of the season dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder related to gun violence in his youth. Fully healthy from a physical standpoint, he's capable of making an immediate contribution to this undermanned Chiefs backfield. We'll see if Edwards-Helaire ends up active for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He's not a Week 5 fantasy option but is worth a wait-and-see stash in deeper leagues.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Chiefs are signing RB Kareem Hunt. He'll join the practice squad initially, but Pelissero adds that Hunt "should have a chance to play soon."

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with his fractured fibula, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The Chiefs have a Week 6 bye, which will save Pacheco a game. But this timeline means he'll be out at least through Week 8 and potentially through Week 10.
