The Saints have terminated the contract of RB Jamaal Williams. The move releases Williams ahead of the final year of his contract and saves the team a few million dollars in cap space. Williams signed with New Orleans as a free agent after racking up a league-leading 17 rushing TDs for the 2022 Lions. He'll turn 30 in April.

Insider Nick Underhill expects a "real role" for Edwards-Helaire today. He's not a fantasy option, but expect the Saints to stick with a three-RB committee with Kendre Miller, Jamaal Williams, and Edwards-Helaire.

Fully healthy from a physical standpoint, he's capable of making an immediate contribution to this undermanned Chiefs backfield. We'll see if Edwards-Helaire ends up active for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He's not a Week 5 fantasy option but is worth a wait-and-see stash in deeper leagues.
