Ja’Marr Chase and the Bengals’ Offense Can’t Replicate Past Success

        5:34am UTC 11/17/25

Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase went 3-30-0 on 10 targets against the Steelers on Sunday. Just three weeks ago, he went 16-161-1 on 23 targets against this same Steelers defense. QB Joe Flacco struggled throwing for 199 yards with a TD and INT in the game. The Bengals offense was only able to muster 12 points.

Joe Burrow Most Likely To Return Week 14

        1:21pm UTC 11/16/25

Bengals QB Joe Burrow's most likely return date from his toe injury is Week 14 against the Bills, according to NFL Network. Week 13 against the Ravens on Thanksgiving night is also still on the table, per Rapoport. Burrow reportedly plans to return this season regardless of Cincinnati's record. He had an impressive week of practice, participating in individual drills and 7-on-7 work. "I'm not going to say I'm impressed because that's how it always looks," HC Zac Taylor said on Wednesday,. "But he was really sharp." We'll continue to keep you updated on Burrow's progress.

        Joe Burrow Return Window Opens

        6:06pm UTC 11/10/25

The Bengals announced Monday that QB Joe Burrow has been cleared to start practicing on a limited basis. The announcement comes two months after he suffered a Grade 3 turf toe vs. Jacksonville in Week 2. He had surgery on Sept. 19 and was expected to miss at least three months. This return to practice means the team now has three weeks to either fully activate Burrow or end his season. The end of that decision window would hit between the Week 13 visit to Baltimore and a Week 14 trip to Buffalo. How the 3-6 Bengals fare over the next three games will likely factor into that decision.

        Joe Burrow Back In December?

        2:02am UTC 10/17/25

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (toe) is "on track" to be back on the field by mid-December, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said before the team's Thursday night game vs. the Steelers. Burrow is one month removed from surgery to repair a Grade 3 turf toe and has had no setbacks, per Rapoport. Burrow "has told people close to him he absolutely intends to be back. Just needs the team to stay alive until then," Rapoport adds. That last point is key. We doubt the Bengals would bring Burrow back this season if they're eliminated from playoff contention. The 2-4 Bengals look much better under QB Joe Flacco, though, and are in an AFC North that's up for grabs. If they can pick up a handful of wins with Flacco, it sounds like Burrow could be back for Week 15 against the Ravens. He'd probably be a risky fantasy start in his first game back, but Burrow could be a factor in Week 16 and 17.

Joe Burrow Expected To Miss "Several Weeks" With Turf Toe

        9:42pm UTC 9/14/25

Fox19's Jeremy Rauch reports that Bengals QB Joe Burrow is believed to have turf toe with torn ligaments. "Tricky timeline on his return, but expectation would be several weeks," Rauch adds. Rauch isn't a typical source of news for us, so we'll look for confirmation of this diagnosis. But Burrow owners should be preparing to find a replacement for the next few weeks. QB Jake Browning was up and down in relief vs. the Jaguars, throwing for 241 yards with two TDs and three INTs.

Joe Burrow Has Another Uninspiring Opener

        9:46pm UTC 9/7/25

The infamous slow start out of the gate for Joe Burrow manifested itself again to open the 2025 season. Burrow was held to a lowly 113 passing yards and one touchdown in Cincinnati's 17-16 win in Cleveland. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins were held to a combined 5 receptions for 59 yards in an ugly day at the office for Cincinnati's offense.

Bengals Tag Tee Higgins Again; New Contract Coming?

        2:34pm UTC 3/3/25

The Bengals have applied the franchise tag to WR Tee Higgins for the second straight season, according to multiple sources. That'll keep Higgins from hitting free agency and lock him into at least a one-year deal that would pay about $26 million. Cincinnati can afford to fit that number under the 2025 salary cap, according to Spotrac's numbers. But the Bengals would likely prefer to work out a longer-term deal with the 26-year-old.
