Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns after sustaining a hamstring injury during the practice week. He saw limited work Thursday and Friday. Missing Humphrey would leave Baltimore without its top cover guy. The Ravens will have S Marcus Williams, though. He practiced in full all week and is off the final injury report after missing the past three contests with a hamstring injury.
Ravens S Marcus Williams (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Seahawks. That's not great news for Baltimore's secondary, but Williams has missed more games than he has played this year and been less than 100% even on the field at other times. S Geno Stone has played well in Williams' absence.
The Ravens have ruled S Marcus Williams (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals
The Ravens have ruled S Marcus Williams (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Lions. That leaves S Geno Stone to start in his place. Stone has been the better fantasy producer between them on the season. You can now find him in our Week 7 DB rankings.
Ravens S Marcus Williams left Sunday's win over the Titans with a hamstring injury. We'll watch for more on his status ahead of a Week 7 matchup with Detroit.
Ravens S Marcus Williams looks ready to play for the first time since suffering a pectoral injury in Week 1. He put in full practices all week and was left off the final injury report. That should knock S Geno Stone back out of the lineup. CB Marlon Humphrey (foot) might be ready to return as well. He put in a full practice Friday after two limited workouts. Humphrey remains questionable for the game, though. We'll see about his status over the weekend.
Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (back) is active for today's game against the Browns. He should be in your IDP lineups. S Marcus Williams (pectoral) remains out. He arrived questionable but is not yet ready to return from his Week 1 injury. Williams seems to be trending toward a Week 5 return.
Ravens S Kyle Hamilton missed Wednesday's practice with a biceps injury. He didn't miss a snap of Sunday's OT loss to the Colts, so we'd guess his Wednesday absence was more of a maintenance thing. We'll certainly track Hamilton's participation the rest of the week. He enjoyed a breakout game after moving to slot CB in the wake of Ar'Darius Washington getting injured. Baltimore got S Marcus Williams back for a limited practice Wednesday, his first action since a Week 1 pec injury. CB Marlon Humphrey (foot) remained out, as did edge players David Ojabo (ankle, knee) and Odafe Oweh (ankle).
Ravens S Marcus Williams will not have surgery for his pectoral injury, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. Williams is rehabbing and not even planning to go on IR. That indicates the team hopes to get him back inside the next four games. Williams already missed the Week 2 win over the Bengals. We'll watch for updates on his expected return. In the meantime, Geno Stone is starting in Williams' place.
Ravens HC John Harbaugh said Monday that S Marcus Williams will "be out for a while" with the pectoral injury he suffered Sunday, according to multiple reports. Harbaugh said Williams is considering surgery and that the injury doesn't necessarily end his season. That it even could, though, makes Williams droppable in nearly all IDP leagues. We've already removed him from our rest-of-season rankings. Geno Stone filled in for Williams against the Texans and figures to start next to Kyle Hamilton going forward. Stone has spent most of his time at deep safety -- likely Williams -- which limits his fantasy upside. Hamilton remains the more intriguing IDP because of his higher snap count "in the box." A trailing Houston offense went pass-heavy in the opener, sending tackle opportunities further downfield. Brandon Stephens, who you might see listed as a safety, started at CB for Baltimore in the opener. He can also be an IDP option if you lost Williams.
Ravens S Marcus Williams injured his left shoulder in Sunday's game against the Texans and was ruled out shortly thereafter. We'll see about the severity. Williams lost seven games to a dislocated wrist last year, his first with Baltimore.
Ravens HC John Harbaugh said Friday that S Marcus Williams (wrist) won't return for this Sunday's game against the Broncos. Williams has been on IR since injuring the wrist in Week 4. We'd bet on him playing in Week 14 after practicing the past 2 weeks, but we'll see how the safety progresses. In the meantime, S Geno Stone gets another start. CB Marlon Humphrey (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game.
Ravens S Marcus Williams suffered a dislocated wrist in the 1st half of Sunday night's win over the Bengals. HC John Harbaugh told reporters after the game that Williams will miss a "significant" amount of time. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Williams is "likely" headed for IR. We'll see about the official return timeline following more testing, but Williams will likely be droppable in redraft IDP leagues. Geno Stone stepped into the lineup after Williams left. Rookie DB Kyle Hamilton, meanwhile, saw no increase in playing time. The 1st-rounder has played fewer than 20 snaps in each of the past 3 games.
The Ravens have agreed to a 5-year, $70 million deal with S Marcus Williams, according to multiple reports. Williams will get $37 million guaranteed. Williams takes over the FS spot in Baltimore and leaves a significant hole in New Orleans' secondary. He's not a strong IDP option.
