Richie James Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WR Richie James (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be available for this weekend's game vs. Washington, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Giants WR Richie James (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He never exited the Thanksgiving loss to Dallas, so we're tentatively expecting James to be available for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. But we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for 228 yards and 1 TD in Thursday's loss to the Cowboys. It marked his 2nd-largest yardage total of the year but just 6.5 yards per pass attempt. Jones targeted 3 different teammates 6 times apiece. WR Richie James caught a team-high 5 passes for 41 yards and the lone TD. Darius Slayton caught 3 balls for 63 yards, with a 44-yard 1st-quarter snag delivering most of that. RB Saquon Barkley was the other 6-target Giant. Week 13 holds a pass-funnel matchup with Washington.

Giants WR Richie James (knee) is active for today's game against the Cowboys. Let's hope you're not in position to need him in your fantasy football lineup, though.

Giants WR Richie James (knee) got in 2 limited practices this week and is listed as questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Cowboys. He's expected to take over for Wan'Dale Robinson as New York's slot receiver but is only in play in Thanksgiving DFS contests.

Giants WR Richie James (knee) was limited in Tuesday's practice. He's expected to step in for Wan'Dale Robinson as New York's primary slot receiver going forward. We'll see if this knee issue impacts his availability for Thursday's game vs. the Cowboys.

Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson tore his right ACL in Sunday's loss to the Lions, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That ends Robinson's rookie season and might threaten his availability for the start of the 2023 campaign. Richie James figures to step in as New York's primary slot receiver the rest of the way, but Darius Slayton will likely be the only Giants WR that's trustable in fantasy lineups.

Giants WRs Kadarius Toney (hamstring) and Kenny Golladay (knee) are out for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. What else is new? Darius Slayton (26 routes), Marcus Johnson (26), Richie James (13) and Wan'Dale Robinson (12) operated as New York's top 4 WRs last week. Robinson is the only potential fantasy option -- and he's a risky play until we see his route rate climb.

Giants WR Darius Slayton led the team in targets (7), receptions (6) and receiving yards (79) in Sunday's win over the Packers. No other Giant caught more than 3 passes or topped 36 yards. Saquon Barkley was the only other player with more than 3 targets, catching 3 of 6 for 36 yards. WR Marcus Johnson caught all 3 of his targets for 35 yards after being elevated from the practice squad. He also led the crew in total snaps and routes run. Richie James and David Sills V supplied just 2 catches apiece, ranking 3rd and 4th -- respectively -- in snaps.

Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Packers in London. He put in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday but was sidelined on Friday. That doesn't bode well for Robinson's chances of returning in Week 6. With WRs Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay also out this weekend, New York is down to WRs Richie James, David Sills, Darius Slayton and Marcus Johnson.

After putting in a limited practice on Wednesday, Giants WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday. We'll see if this is a setback or a planned day off. Regardless, Toney shouldn't be in your Week 5 fantasy plans. WRs Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) and Richie James (ankle) were both limited Thursday and seem on track to play vs. the Packers Sunday morning.

Giants WRs Kadarius Toney (hamstring) and Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) were limited in Wednesday's practice. That gives them a shot to return for Sunday morning's game vs. the Packers. WRs Richie James (ankle) and Kenny Golladay (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.

Giants WRs Kadarius Toney (hamstring) and Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) are out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears. Neither guy practiced all week. With WR Sterling Shepard out with his torn ACL, the Giants are down to WRs Richie James, David Sills, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) is inactive for tonight's game against the Cowboys. He'd been listed as doubtful, so no surprise here. Sterling Shepard, David Sills and Richie James are the favorites to lead Giants WRs in snaps tonight.

WR Kadarius Toney barely got onto the field in Sunday's win over the Titans. He played just 12% of the offensive snaps and ran a route on just 10% of dropbacks, according to Pro Football Focus. That's terrible usage for a guy who seemed to have a shot at serving as the Giants' #1 wideout. Little else went right for the passing game to push Toney aside. RB Saquon Barkley led the team in targets and catches. Richie James served as the top-producing wideout, with 5 catches for 59 yards among 6 targets. Sterling Shepard led the team with 71 receiving yards, thanks mostly to a 65-yard TD. Kenny Golladay garnered just 2 targets, and rookie WR Wan'Dale Robinson left with a knee injury.
