Sean Clifford Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Packers have downgraded QB Jordan Love to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Colts. That's not a surprising change. He hasn't practiced since suffering his MCL sprain in the Friday night loss to the Eagles in Week 1. Love has seemed like a stronger candidate for IR than to play in Week 2, but we'll see if he actually has a chance to return for Week 3. In the meantime, Malik Willis takes over the offense. The team also elevated QB Sean Clifford from the practice squad Saturday.

The Packers are not placing QB Jordan Love (knee) on IR, HC Matt LaFleur said. That means the team believes there's a good chance that Love misses fewer than four games. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday that Love's "initial timetable" for return was 3-6 weeks. It sounds like he's trending toward the short end of that span.

The Packers added Tulane QB Michael Pratt in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Pratt didn’t start playing football until high school but was a four-year starter at Tulane and showed steady improvement throughout his career. Pratt’s completion rate climbed each year, topping out at 65.4% in 2023. And he went from 7.2 yards per attempt over his first two seasons to 8.7 over the last two. The 6’3, 217-pounder has average arm strength and durability concerns. He suffered a concussion in 2021, a shoulder injury and fractured heel in 2022, and a left knee injury in 2023. But Pratt is an accurate passer with good anticipation and pocket presence. He looks like a classic NFL backup. Pratt will look to beat out 2023 fifth-rounder Sean Clifford for Green Bay’s No. 2 job.
