Tyler Huntley Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) opened the week listed as a DNP on Wednesday's practice report. Ravens HC John Harbaugh said, "I’m just going to leave all that stuff alone and focus on the game and have the guys ready for the game," when asked about Jackson. That's not a particularly encouraging quote to hear from a coach about their QB. Fantasy managers should probably expect backup QB Tyler Huntley to once again get the nod in Week 18 vs. the Bengals.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh said Monday that he's still not sure if QB Lamar Jackson (knee) will be ready to play vs. the Bengals this weekend. "I don’t have an expectation until I hear more today,” Harbaugh said. "I’m just going to listen to the doctors and to Lamar and we’re prepared." The Ravens have clinched a playoff spot, but the Bengals would lock up the AFC North title with a win over the Bills tonight. That might ultimately impact whether Jackson plays this weekend. Stay tuned.

Ravens QB Tyler Huntley completed 14 of 21 passes for 130 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT in Sunday's loss vs. the Steelers. Huntley has now thrown for under 200 passing yards in every game since taking over for the injured QB Lamar Jackson (knee) as the starter in Week 14 with nary a multiple TD performance. Fantasy managers playing onto Week 18 should not consider Huntley a viable option vs. the Bengals. We've seen enough this season to suggest he is merely a stand-in game manager. There's certainly nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't add much fantasy value to lineups.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 17 contest vs. the Steelers. Fantasy managers will once again look to backup QB Tyler Huntley as the leader of the Ravens' offense. Huntley is a low-end QB2 option that only warrants consideration in superflex leagues. He's only exceeded 15 fantasy points once since taking over in Week 13 vs. the Browns. It's hard to trust a guy like that with a fantasy title on the line.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) didn't practice again on Thursday. Backup QB Tyler Huntley is looking like he'll get the nod again for Week 17 vs. the Steelers. We'll let you know if anything changes tomorrow.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh wouldn't say Monday if he expects to get QB Lamar Jackson (knee) back for Sunday night's game vs. the Steelers. "We'll just have to see," Harbaugh said when asked if Jackson will practice this week. The Ravens clinched a playoff spot with the Week 16 win over the Falcons but are still fighting for the AFC North title, needing to win the final 2 games to wrap it up. We'll keep you updated on Jackson's status throughout the week.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews led the team in targets (5), receptions (3) and receiving yards (45) in Sunday's win over the Falcons. But he didn't have much chance to deliver truly helpful fantasy football stats. Baltimore attempted just 17 passes for the game. QB Tyler Huntley completed 9 of those for 115 yards and 1 TD. We'll see whether QB Lamar Jackson can make it back for a Week 17 home date with the Steelers.

Ravens Tyler Huntley (right shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. The shoulder shouldn’t be an issue, but Huntley hasn’t done enough this season to be more than a mid-range QB2.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Ravens QB Tyler Huntley (right shoulder) will start today's game vs. the Falcons. He's listed as questionable but "was able to make all his throws on Thursday," per Rapoport. We're not expecting the shoulder to be an issue today.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Ravens QB Tyler Huntley will be the starter in Week 16 vs. the Falcons. The possible return of Lamar Jackson will have to wait another week. Though the Falcons' defense presents the 8th-best matchup for QBs in adjusted fantasy points allowed, Huntley is nothing more than a low-end QB2 consideration in superflex leagues. Huntley is 32nd among qualified QBs in PFF passing grade and ranks as the QB24 in fantasy since Week 13. Fantasy managers likely have better options for their lineups.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice again on Wednesday. Backup Tyler Huntley (right shoulder) practiced in a limited fashion after not appearing on the injury report on Tuesday. It seems fantasy managers should not anticipate having Jackson available. The troubling issue here is that it's unclear who will start on Saturday vs. the Falcons given the Huntley development. Check back tomorrow once we learn more.

Ravens QB Tyler Huntley threw for just 138 yards in Saturday's loss to the Browns. He completed 17 of 30 passes (56.7%), with 0 TDs and 1 INT. No Baltimore player exceeded 31 receiving yards, with WR Demarcus Robinson the only Raven catching more than 3 passes. We'll see about Lamar Jackson's status for a Week 16 matchup with the Falcons.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) is out for Saturday's game vs. the Browns. QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) isn't listed on the final injury report and is expected to start that one. That's good news for the offense in general -- and specifically TE Mark Andrews -- but Huntley is only a recommended play in 2-QB and Superflex leagues.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday, but QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) was listed as a full participant. So it looks like Huntley is on track to be cleared for Saturday's game vs. the Browns. He's a downgrade from Jackson -- but an upgrade from 3rd-stringer Anthony Brown. Huntley's presence would be especially good news for TE Mark Andrews.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Tuesday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Jackson's "most realistic return date" is Week 16, so we're not expecting him to play vs. the Browns on Saturday. QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) got in a limited practice on Tuesday, which gives him a shot to be cleared by Saturday. We'll update Baltimore's QB situation again tomorrow.

Ravens QB Tyler Huntley left in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Steelers for a concussion check. He's been replaced by QB Anthony Brown. Stay tuned for an update on Huntley.

Update: Huntley has been ruled out with a concussion.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Steelers. It sounds like Week 16 is most likely when we’ll see Jackson again. QB Tyler Huntley gets the start today.

Although the Ravens are hoping to get QB Lamar Jackson back for Week 15, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that his "most realistic return date" will be in Week 16 against the Falcons. He adds that there's also "a strong chance" the QB will not get back to full strength again this season because of his PCL sprain. That means a lot of fantasy football managers should be looking elsewhere for a starting QB the rest of the way, even if/when Jackson makes it back. He currently sits just 10th in points per game in common formats, with big totals in weeks 2 and 3 inflating even that. Outside of those contests, Jackson's scoring average for healthy games would rank just 14th at the position.
