Saints Take Another WR Shot on Bryce Lance

The New Orleans Saints selected North Dakota State WR Bryce Lance in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Like his brother Trey, Lance starred at North Dakota State. He moved into the starting lineup in 2024 and immediately delivered. He posted back-to-back 1,000- yard seasons and earned first-team allconference honors both years. Lance brings ideal boundary size and vertical juice. He averaged 21.2 yards per catch in 2025 and posted an elite 3.57 yards per route run, one of the strongest efficiency marks in the class. The tape matches the numbers. Lance wins downfield with body control, tracking ability, and finishing strength. Competition level and age (25 in September) work against Lance

The New Orleans Saints selected Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson with the eighth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The lone red flag on Tyson’s profile is durability. He missed roughly 34% of his college career with a multi-ligament knee injury, a broken collarbone, hamstring issues, and a Lisfranc injury. That history presents downside risk, but Tyson looked like a potential No. 1 WR when healthy. He peaked as a junior, posting a huge 75-1,101-10 line. Playing under WRs coach (and former Steelers WR) Hines Ward, Tyson posted a strong 3.04 yards per route run while seeing a near-even mix of usage inside and out. He brings NFL size at 6’2, 203 pounds, wins with sharp route running, and creates separation at all levels. Tyson’s physical tools give him a chance to be the best WR in this class.
