The Eagles likely lost star RT Lane Johnson for at least the rest of the fantasy season in Sunday night's win over the Lions. Johnson suffered a Lisfranc foot injury that is expected to cost him 4-6 weeks, NFL Network reports.
What They're Saying
Mike Garafolo: "Johnson is gathering more medical opinions, but the hope is that timeline holds and it's not a season-ending injury."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Johnson actually ranks just fourth in Pro Football Focus run-blocking grade among Eagles linemen with at least 200 snaps played this year. But that follows four seasons of higher grades, and Johnson has battled multiple injuries throughout his age-35 campaign.
he has maintained his strong performance as a pass blocker, yielding no QB hits and just 6 total pressures through nine games, according to PFF.
Losing Johnson certainly won't help a run game that has stunk even when he's been healthy. It'll also challenge the pass protection and might mean a few more scrambles for QB Jalen Hurts.
To this point, Hurts has scrambled at a rate near identical to last year
- 2024: 8.6% of dropbacks (according to PFF)
- 2025: 8.5% of dropbacks
Both rates mark a rise from Hurts' 7.1% scramble rate in 2023.
