        Miller has serious shoulder injury

        1:06pm UTC 8/16/22

Steelers WR Anthony Miller is expected to be out "several months" with a shoulder injury, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. It sounds like Miller will miss the entire 2022 season. He was battling for a roster spot in Pittsburgh and wasn't on the redraft fantasy radar anyway. But it's probably safe to drop Miller from dynasty rosters if you're still hanging on.

        Ebron heads to IR

        3:50pm UTC 11/27/21

The Steelers on Saturday placed TE Eric Ebron on IR. He's dealing with a knee injury that's been reported as potentially season-ending, so this isn't a surprising move. It does officially knock him out for at least the next 3 games, though. Pittsburgh also elevated WR Anthony Miller from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. We'll see whether Miller can claim a significant role.

        Miller joins Steelers

        5:55pm UTC 10/12/21

The Steelers signed WR Anthony Miller to the practice squad. He's expected to join the active roster soon. There's an opening in Pittsburgh's 3-WR sets with JuJu Smith-Schuster out for the season. We'll see how snaps are divvied between Miller, James Washington and Ray-Ray McCloud.

Steelers having Miller in for visit

        6:35pm UTC 10/11/21

NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports that the Steelers plan to have WR Anthony Miller in for a physical Tuesday. Barring a physical issue, that would obviously indicate Pittsburgh plans to sign the veteran. Miller seems a suitable fill-in for JuJu Smith-Schuster's vacated slot role. We'll see about projecting the group the rest of the way if Miller actually signs.

        Texans cut Miller

        10:28am UTC 10/6/21

The Texans are cutting WR Anthony Miller, insider Aaron Wilson reports. It's a surprise considering Miller ranked 2nd on the team with 11 targets over the last 2 weeks. But Houston doesn't seem to be making moves with winning football games in mind right now. WR Brandin Cooks will continue to dominate Texans targets.

        Texans cut Coutee

        6:08pm UTC 8/31/21

Houston waived WR Keke Coutee. It’s a surprising move considering the team’s lack of proven depth — and because of Anthony Miller’s current shoulder dislocation. Look for Coutee to land a new gig shortly.

Miller could be back for start of season

        8:08pm UTC 8/16/21

Texans insider Aaron Wilson hears that WR Anthony Miller "could" be back from his shoulder injury for Week 1 or 2. The MRI on that shoulder revealed a "slight" dislocation but no structural damage. So Miller avoided a serious injury, but he'll miss valuable reps with his new team over the next few weeks. He's a long shot for early-season fantasy value. Keke Coutee is in line to open the season as Houston's slot receiver.

        Miller has "slight" shoulder dislocation

        2:08pm UTC 8/15/21

Texans WR Anthony Miller suffered a "slight" dislocation of his right shoulder in Saturday's preseason opener. He's scheduled for an MRI, which should give us a timetable for his return. Miller has twice hurt his left shoulder as a pro and also dealt with a shoulder injury in college -- although we don't know if that was the left or right shoulder. We'll update his status when we know more.

        Miller carted off

        10:08pm UTC 8/14/21

Texans WR Anthony Miller was carted off the field in Saturday’s game against Green Bay. Per team insider Aaron Wilson, Miller “appeared to have injured his right shoulder or arm.” The former Bear has undergone a pair of surgeries on his left shoulder since turning pro. Keke Coutee would figure to handle full-time slot duties if Miller misses substantial time.

Update: Wilson tweeted that Miller has a "slight" dlslocation and will undergo an MRI. We'll let you know when we learn more.

        Packers trade for Cobb

        9:07am UTC 7/28/21

WR Randall Cobb tweeted that he's been traded to the Packers, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that the deal will be done once Green Bay gains cap space to make room. Cobb spent his first 8 seasons with QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, finishing as a top 30 fantasy WR 3 times (2012, 2014 and 2015). He posted a 55-828-3 line and WR42 PPR finish with the Cowboys in 2019. Then in Houston last year, Cobb tallied 38 catches, 441 yards and 3 scores in 10 games. He finished 60th in PPR points per game. But Cobb ranked a respectable 26th in yards per target, 52nd in yards per route run and 50th in Pro Football Focus receiving grade among 99 WRs with 40+ targets. Rodgers clearly had a big say in this move -- and we'd expect him to make sure Cobb is the starting slot receiver this season. That'll leave Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard and rookie Amari Rodgers fighting for the last spot in 3-WR sets. In Houston, meanwhile, Cobb's departure frees up the starting slot job. Consider newly acquired WR Anthony Miller the favorite to win that.

        Texans acquire Miller

        10:07pm UTC 7/24/21

The Bears are trading WR Anthony Miller to the Texans. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it took only a "late-round pick swap" for the deal to happen. We have yet to see more specific details, but that seems an extremely low price for the 4th-year wideout. Miller lands in a situation with opportunity to be as much as the #2 target behind Brandin Cooks. But it's also a low-ceiling spot if Deshaun Watson doesn't return. We remain uninterested in Houston pass-catchers behind Brandin Cooks in fantasy football drafts. We'll see who steps into the #3 WR role in Chicago. Marquise Goodwin drew some spring buzz.

        Goodwin the #3 in Chicago?

        10:06am UTC 6/25/21

Adam Jahns of The Athletic calls Marquise Goodwin the Bears' #3 WR based on OTAs and minicamps. Goodwin didn't play a single snap last season, but Jahns points out the WR's speed as the deciding factor. Damiere Byrd sits 4th in the projection, with Dazz Newsome and Anthony Miller slotting 5th and 6th, respectively. At bottom, we don’t see a Chicago WR beyond Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney emerging for fantasy.
