Courtland Sutton Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Broncos WRs Courtland Sutton (hamstring) and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll see how they progress throughout the week. If they're unable to play vs. the Cardinals on Sunday, WR Jerry Jeudy and TE Greg Dulcich will be the clear top 2 receiving options for Denver.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (hamstring) did not practice all week and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 15.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (hamstring) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He's not expected to play vs. the Chiefs this weekend.

Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett conceded Wednesday that it's "not looking good" for WR Courtland Sutton (hamstring) to play vs. the Chiefs this weekend. Hackett labeled Sutton "day to day" earlier this week, so perhaps he ends up missing only 1 game. Sutton's absence this weekend boosts WR Jerry Jeudy's fantasy outlook.

Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett labeled WR Courtland Sutton "day to day" with the hamstring injury he suffered in the loss to Baltimore. It sounds like Sutton avoided a significant injury, but we'd still consider him iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Chiefs. We'll watch his practice participation throughout the week.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Ravens with a hamstring injury. We should get an update on the severity on Monday.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday, adding some downside to his Week 13 fantasy profile.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (illness) is expected to play vs. the Ravens on Sunday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Sutton was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday due to an illness, but it's unlikely to be a limiting factor tomorrow.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Ravens. He was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday. Guys are usually able to play through illnesses, but you’ll need to check Shark Bites around 11:30 am ET on Sunday to make sure Sutton is active.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. Kendall Hinton should again serve as Denver’s #2 WR. Jeudy’s absence also adds target upside for WR Courtland Sutton and TE Greg Dulcich.

Broncos WRs Jerry Jeudy (ankle) and K.J. Hamler (hamstring) are out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. WR Kendall Hinton (shoulder) is listed as questionable. WR Courtland Sutton and TE Greg Dulcich should be Denver's top 2 targets in this weekend's plus matchup.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson finished Sunday's game with his 2nd-largest passing-yardage total of the season. His 286 yards were his most since Week 1. But so were his 42 attempts. Wilson completed just half of those, while taking 6 sacks and tossing an INT. He did manage an OK 6.8 yards per attempt, thanks in part to a 66-yard TD connection with rookie WR Jalen Virgil. WR Courtland Sutton led the team with 11 targets, 6 receptions and 66 yards (tying Virgil). Denver was missing WR K.J. Hamler and lost WR Jerry Jeudy during the game. WR Kendall Hinton and RB Melvin Gordon tied for 2nd on the team with 4 catches apiece. Rookie TE Greg Dulcich endured a disappointing day, catching just 1 of 4 targets for 11 yards. The Broncos face a more generous Raiders defense in Week 11.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson made it through his return from the hamstring injury in Sunday morning's victory over the Jaguars. He threw for 252 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT on 18-of-30 passing, adding 17 yards on the ground. Wilson targeted WR Jerry Jeudy most (7 times), connecting for a 6-63-1 receiving line. TE Greg Dulcich led the team with 87 receiving yards on 4 catches, finishing 2nd in targets (5). WR Courtland Sutton drew just 4 looks and caught only 1 for 13 yards. Denver likely welcomes a Week 9 bye and then gets 3 straight soft pass defenses: Titans, Raiders, Panthers.

Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett said Friday morning that QB Russell Wilson (hamstring) will start Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars, barring a setback between now and then. Wilson, of course, had been struggling even before this hamstring injury. He's just a QB2 in Week 8 fantasy lineups, but we'd still consider him a tangible upgrade over QB Brett Rypien.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy led the team in targets (11), receptions (7) and receiving yards (96) in Sunday's loss to the Jets. He accounted for 23.9% of QB Brett Rypien's 43 pass attempts, 29.2% of his completions and 42.7% of the receiving yards. Rookie TE Greg Dulcich following, tying WR Courtland Sutton for 2nd on the team at 9 targets. He caught 6 of them for 51 yards. Sutton managed just 3 receptions for 23 yards. We'll see about QB Russell Wilson's status (hamstring) for a Week 8 visit to Jacksonville.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson has a partially torn hamstring, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. That tends to be a multi-week injury, per Rapoport, so "there was virtually no chance" Denver was letting Wilson play vs. the Jets today. The Broncos play the Jaguars in London next week and then get a Week 9 bye, so it seems likeliest that Week 10 is the next time we see Wilson. We'll see how QB Brett Rypien fares today.

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton mustered only 2 catches for 14 yards against the Chargers in Week 6. This outcome surfaced despite the Bolts benching starting CB J.C. Jackson in the 2nd half. Sutton saw only 3 targets, behind both Jerry Jeudy (7) and Mike Boone (4). Sutton entered the night with 50+ yards in 5 straight, so this performance was certainly an outlier. But it’s a reminder that this passing game will continue to carry volatility for at least the foreseeable future. Week 7 turns up a home matchup with the Jets.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy rebounded in Week 4 with 4 catches for 53 yards and 1 score. His 5 targets ranked behind behind Courtland Sutton’s 7 and represented a 20% team share. The ‘Bama product caught a nice sideline deep ball from Russell Wilson and later made a slick sliding grab for his 2nd TD of 2022. Next up is a Thursday night home game vs. Indianapolis.
