Dorian Thompson-Robinson Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Browns will start QB Bailey Zappe for Saturday's finale against the Ravens, according to multiple reports. That doesn't necessarily mean we won't see Dorian Thompson-Robinson, though.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski said Tuesday that "there's a chance" he plays both QBs Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Bailey Zappe in Saturday's finale vs. the Ravens. QB Jameis Winston continues to work through a shoulder injury and is expected to be the No. 3 QB. Thompson-Robinson has been predictably awful the past two weeks, completing 54% of his passes at 4.0 yards per attempt with 0 TDs and three INTs. Any playing time for Zappe would be good news for Browns pass catchers, although he's no world-beater either. Zappe owns a career 63% completion rate and 6.8 yards per attempt.

The forecast for this afternoon's Dolphins-Browns game calls for sustained winds of 15-25 mph with gusts over 35. There's a chance for rain during the second half, but the winds are the real story here. They figure to impact the passing and kicking games. With Tyler Huntley and Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center for their respective teams, this figures to be a low-scoring, run-heavy affair.

With QB Jameis Winston benched for Dorian Thompson-Robinson, WR Jerry Jeudy’s massive production boost dropped off. He caught two of three targets for only 20 yards. With Thompson-Robinson opting for short passes to TE David Njoku and RB Jerome Ford, Jeudy had little to work with.

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson will be the starting QB this week against the Bengals. QB Jameis Winston was benched against the Chiefs after throwing three interceptions, replaced by Thompson-Robinson. The Browns will get another look at the young QB this week.

Browns QB Jameis Winston was benched in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup with Kansas City. Winston tossed three INTs before departing. Dorian Thompson-Robinson took over in his place.

The Browns plan to start QB Jameis Winston in Sunday's game against the Ravens, according to insider Jordan Schultz. "My understanding is Dorian Thompson-Robinson was [Deshaun] Watson’s backup on Sunday strictly from a gameplan standpoint," Schultz adds. That suggests that Cleveland is opting to go with Winston over Thompson-Robinson regardless of Thompson-Robinson's finger injury. That'd be good news for Cleveland's pass catchers going forward.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski said after Sunday's loss to the Bengals that QB Deshaun Watson is believed to have a torn Achilles. We should get confirmation on Monday. A torn Achilles would end Watson's season and threaten his availability for the start of the 2025 campaign. Cleveland also lost QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson to a finger injury against Cincinnati, leaving QB Jameis Winston at the controls. Consider Winston the favorite to start next weekend's game vs. the Ravens.

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals with a fourth-quarter finger injury. With QB Deshaun Watson exiting earlier with an Achilles injury, QB Jameis Winston finished out the game for Cleveland. He gave the Browns the best QB play they've seen this season, completing 5 of 11 passes for 67 yards and a score. We'll see about the Watson and Thompson-Robinson injuries. But if the Browns are serious about winning, Winston will be under center going forward. He's worth adding in 2-QB and Superflex leagues.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson injured his right leg in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. It's Dorian Thompson-Robinson -- not Jameis Winston -- active as Cleveland's backup today. We'll update Watson's status when we know more.

Update: Watson has been ruled out with an Achilles. This has the look of a season-ending injury, but we'll update Watson's status when we know more.

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) is out for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. The team confirmed on Friday that QB Joe Flacco will start that one. The 38-year-old isn’t a good option at this point of his career – but he should prove to be at least a slight upgrade over Thompson-Robinson and P.J. Walker.
