The Cleveland Browns haven't won in New England in 33 years, but at least both of their TEs found the end zone in Week 8. Harold Fannin Jr. and David Njoku combined to account for 99 of Cleveland's 156 passing yards and both TDs in Cleveland's 32-13 loss.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. He was limited in practice all week after missing Week 7. Try to keep Njoku on fantasy benches this week. But his return dings TE Harold Fannin’s playing time and target projections.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots. Njoku would be a shaky fantasy play coming off the injury and splitting work with TE Harold Fannin. But his return would knock Fannin down the TE rankings. We’ll look for more updates on Njoku and get Cleveland’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. HC Kevin Stefanski labeled Njoku "day to day," adding that he's "hopeful" he'll be able to play vs. the Patriots this weekend. We'll keep tabs on his progress over the next few days. Njoku's return would make he and Harold Fannin fringe TE1s in a week with six teams on bye.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Dolphins. He didn’t practice all week, and his status for Week 8 and beyond remains uncertain. The Browns do get a Week 9 bye. Njoku’s absence on Sunday should mean an expanded role for TE Harold Fannin. He looks like a nice Week 7 fantasy play in a plus matchup. We’ll just need to keep an eye on the weather in Cleveland. The current forecast calls for impactful winds.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He briefly tried to play through this injury last week but ultimately exited the game for good. We're not expecting Njoku to play vs. the Dolphins this weekend, which would turn TE Harold Fannin into a very viable fantasy starter.

Browns TE David Njoku suffered a thigh injury in the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Steelers and is questionable to return. We'll update his status when we know more. TE Harold Fannin figures to pick up extra routes for however long Njoku is out.

Update: HC Kevin Stefanski said after Sunday's game that Njoku has a knee injury but didn't provide any other details. We should learn more on Monday.

The Browns are expected to start QB Dillon Gabriel vs. the Vikings this weekend, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz. QB Joe Flacco has been worse than expected through four weeks, ranking dead last among 33 qualifying QBs in completion rate (58.1%), yards per attempt (5.1), and passer rating (60.3). The Browns are averaging 14 points per game -- ahead of only the Titans.

Browns rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. managed just 2 catches for 24 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. But his six targets tied for second on the team, and Fannin played a season-high 85% of the offensive snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. That included Fannin playing one snap more than TE David Njoku for the first time and beating him by one route (also for the first time).

Browns WR Cedric Tillman suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Lions and has been ruled out. We'll update his status when we know more, but expect this to be a multi-week injury. Tillman's absence will free up snaps for rookie WR Isaiah Bond, and potentially mean more targets for WR Jerry Jeudy and TEs David Njoku and Harold Fannin.

The Browns have named QB Joe Flacco their starter to open the season. He beat out Kenny Pickett for the job, while rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders were never serious threats. Flacco’s presence should be a boost for the Browns’ WRs and TEs compared with the alternatives.

Browns TE Harold Fannin was held out of Saturday's preseason game, alongside QB Joe Flacco, WR Jerry Jeudy, TE David Njoku and a bunch of other presumed starters. "All are primed for starting or significant roles," ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi tweeted.

Browns rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. “could be primed for a large role” in 2025, per reporter Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. Oyefusi expects the Browns to run more two-TE sets this season.

The Browns selected Bowling Green TE Harold Fannin Jr. in Round 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. After a breakout sophomore campaign (44-623-6), Fannin turned in the most productive season from a TE in FBS history. He set single-season records with 117 catches and 1,555 receiving yards, posting an absurd 60.0% Dominator Rating. That easily led this TE class and was the second-highest mark among all TEs with 20+ targets since 2004, behind only Trey McBride. Fannin feasted on a lot of bad defenses in the MAC, but he also torched Penn State for 11 catches, 137 yards, and a TD and Texas A&M for eight catches, 145 yards, and a score. Fannin tested as a mediocre athlete at the Combine, with a 4.71-second 40 time and 34-inch vertical at 241 pounds. But that wasn’t a surprise if you watch his tape. Fannin is an awkward player. He’s clearly explosive in a straight-line, but his change of direction is clunky. Fannin is ultimately an unconventional prospect that comes with a wide range of fantasy outcomes.

The Browns and QB Joe Flacco agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal, his agent tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Flacco can earn as much as $13 million with incentives. Flacco returns to Cleveland, where he won Comeback Player of the Year in 2023. He averaged 323 yards across five games that year, tossing 13 TDs vs. eight INTs in a pass-heavy attack. Flacco made six starts with seven total appearances for the Colts last season, averaging 7.1 yards per attempt with 12 TDs and seven INTs. He turned 40 in January.

The Browns promoted TE coach Tommy Rees to OC. The 32-year-old becomes the youngest OC in the league. Rees was Notre Dame's starting QB just 12 years ago. He quickly flamed out in the NFL before getting into coaching. He most recently served as Notre Dame's OC from 2020-2022 and Alabama's OC in 2023 before joining the Browns last year. According to NFL Network, HC Kevin Stefanski is expected to take back over as the play-caller after giving those duties to former OC Ken Dorsey last year. The biggest question in Cleveland, of course, is who will be under center in 2025. QB Deshaun Watson is expected to miss most, if not all, of the season after re-tearing his Achilles. QB Jameis Winston is a free agent. We've already heard QB Kirk Cousins connected to Cleveland after he spent two seasons under Stefanski in Minnesota. Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, meanwhile, notes that Rees coached QB Jalen Milroe at Alabama. Milroe is expected to be a first- or second-round pick in this spring's draft.

The Browns have fired OC Ken Dorsey, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Cleveland ranks 28th in yards and dead last in points through 17 weeks. Despite shoddy QB play, the Browns lead the league in pass attempts and pass rate. We'll see if HC Kevin Stefanski keeps his job for 2025.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) is out for Saturday's finale vs. the Ravens. TE Jordan Akins will get another game as lead TE but is a shaky fantasy bet with Cleveland implied for only 11.5 points.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. That puts TE Jordan Akins back in the lead role, but he’s not a viable fantasy play with QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He just got over a hamstring injury but picked up a knee injury in the Week 16 loss to the Bengals. Njoku is uncertain for this Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. We'll keep you posted on his status.
