Shedeur Sanders To Start Week 12

        3:58pm UTC 11/19/25

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders will start Sunday's game vs. the Raiders, HC Kevin Stefanski announced. QB Dillon Gabriel remains in the concussion protocol. Sanders was a disaster in his first regular-season appearance this past week, completing four of 16 passes for 47 yards, 0 TDs, and one INT. He also took two sacks and fumbled once. He'll get the benefit of a full week of practice heading into this weekend's game, but we don't expect him to fare much better. Vegas' DST is a strong Week 12 fantasy play.

        Dillon Gabriel Out With Concussion

        11:33pm UTC 11/16/25

Browns QB Dillon Gabriel sustained a concussion in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Ravens. QB Shedeur Sanders started the second half and will finish out this game. We'll track Gabriel's progress through the protocol this week, but this remains a QB room to avoid in all fantasy formats.

        Ravens-Browns Weather Update

        4:04pm UTC 11/16/25

The forecast for today's Ravens-Browns game calls for sustained winds around 25 mph with gusts between 30-35 mph. That figures to impact play-calling, as well as deep throws and longer kicks. Hopefully you weren't relying too heavily on Cleveland's passing game here, although TEs Harold Fannin and David Njoku could be ok as short-range targets. We're downgrading Baltimore's passing game, but QB Lamar Jackson, WR Zay Flowers, and TE Mark Andrews remain fine fantasy starts. Avoid the kickers in this game. The over/under has dropped from 39.5 on Thursday to 38.5.

Jerry Jeudy Shows Signs Of Life, But Browns Still Lose

        1:03am UTC 11/10/25

One week after scoring exactly zero fantasy points, Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy finally had a solid fantasy outing--after the vast majority of fantasy managers had benched him. Taking advantage of a new-look Jets' defense that traded off their top run stopper and coverage CB, Jeudy caught 6 balls for a season-high 78 yards and scored his first TD of the season. However, it wasn't enough as the Browns handed the Jets their second win of the season by allowing a pair of special teams TDs in a 27-20 loss.

        Dolphins-Browns Weather Forecast

        3:07pm UTC 10/19/25

There's a wind advisory in effect in Cleveland until noon ET. The worst of it will be gone by kickoff, but we're still looking at winds around 20 mph with gusts of 30-35 for today's Dolphins-Browns game. There's also likely to be rain during this game. Ugly weather -- and certainly enough to impact the offenses. The over/under on this game has dropped from 39.5 on Thursday to 34.5. That's the lowest for any game this season. Expect both teams to lean more on the run and short-passing games. We'd avoid both QBs and Ks from this game. We've also moved Jaylen Waddle down the Week 7 WR rankings, although he remains in WR2 territory.

Bengals Snag Offensive Savior Joe Flacco from Division Rival

        5:15pm UTC 10/7/25

The Bengals are acquiring QB Joe Flacco from the Browns for a swap of late-round picks, according to multiple reports.

Update: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Bengals "would like" Flacco to start this weekend's game vs. the Packers. "The veteran Flacco is expected to be a quick learner," Schefter adds. We'll keep an eye on the situation, but we'll project Flacco to get the start for now.

Dillon Gabriel Expected To Start Week 5

        8:12pm UTC 9/30/25

The Browns are expected to start QB Dillon Gabriel vs. the Vikings this weekend, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz. QB Joe Flacco has been worse than expected through four weeks, ranking dead last among 33 qualifying QBs in completion rate (58.1%), yards per attempt (5.1), and passer rating (60.3). The Browns are averaging 14 points per game -- ahead of only the Titans.

How Much Longer Will Joe Flacco Start?

        10:02am UTC 9/29/25

Browns QB Joe Flacco stunk in Sunday's loss at Detroit. He went just 16-of-34 passing with no TDs and a pair of INTs. One came on a legitimately nice catch by Lions CB D.J. Reed after WR Jerry Jeudy went down near the sideline. The other looked like a ball that volunteered to sacrifice itself, floating well beyond anyone wearing the same color as the aged QB. Flacco also took three sacks and lost a fumble. His 184 yards marked a third straight game south of 200. Flacco has also finished three straight games short of 59% completion rates, totaled 6 INTs across his four outings, and decreased his passer rating every week:

The Browns are sending QB Kenny Pickett to the Raiders for a fifth-round pick, according to multiple sources. That recoups the pick Cleveland sent to the Eagles to acquire Pickett earlier this offseason.

        8:37pm UTC 8/13/25

Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders suffered an oblique strain during Wednesday's practice. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Sanders will not practice Thursday and is unlikely to play in Cleveland’s second preseason game against the Eagles.

Coach's Assessment Makes You Wonder if He's Actually Watching Kenny Pickett

        11:40am UTC 7/26/25

"His first two days have been stellar." That's what Browns QBs coach Bill Musgrave said Friday about QB Kenny Pickett, according to ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi. Pickett is competing with Joe Flacco (and maybe the rookies) for the Cleveland starting job. Pickett, Flacco, and third-round pick Dillon Gabriel have received first-team reps so far, though Oyefusi says Pickett has "received a large share" of those reps. That included Pickett taking all first-team reps in Day 1's 11-on-11 drills Wednesday, though HC Kevin Stefanski cautioned not to overrate that.

Brown Draft Dillon Gabriel Over Shedeur Sanders

        2:54am UTC 4/26/25

The Browns selected Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel in Round Three of the 2025 NFL Draft. Gabriel spent six years in college, starting two seasons at Central Florida, two at Oklahoma, and one at Oregon. (He missed most of 2021, his final UCF season, with a broken clavicle.) Gabriel steadily improved throughout his career, culminating with an impressive 2024 campaign at Oregon. He threw for 3,857 yards with 30 TDs vs. six INTs on a 72.9% completion rate and 8.6 yards per attempt. Gabriel ranked second in adjusted completion rate and eighth in Pro Football Focus passing grade among 128 qualifying QBs. He was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and finished third in Heisman Trophy voting. This is a smart, experienced QB with a quick release and excellent accuracy. Unfortunately, Gabriel goes 5’11 and 205 pounds with underwhelming arm strength and average athleticism. That ultimately limits his upside for NFL and fantasy teams. We’re likely looking at a long-term backup with spot-start ability.
