Indianapolis Colts Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Colts went without several defensive starters in Wednesday's practice. LB Darius Leonard (ankle), DE Kwity Paye (hamstring), S Khari Willis (ankle, groin) and CB Rock Ya-Sin (ankle) all missed the workout. Leonard sustained his injury last week and missed Thursday's practice before playing through it at Tennessee. The other 3 left Sunday's game early. We'll see about the progress for each throughout the week.

Colts DE Kwity Paye left Sunday's loss to the Titans early with a hamstring injury. He made it through just 10% of the defensive snaps before leaving. We'll see about Paye's outlook this week.

Despite only putting in a single, limited practice Friday (ankle, illness), Colts LB Darius Leonard carries no game status on the final injury report of the week. So he appears good for his usual workload Sunday against the Rams.

Colts rookie DE Kwity Paye is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. He sandwiched a missed Thursday practice between 2 limited workouts. We'll see about his status Sunday morning but wouldn't plan to use him in IDP lineups.

Colts LB Darius Leonard has missed the 1st 2 days of practice this week. The Colts listed him with an ankle issue Wednesday. Thursday found him listed with the ankle and an illness. We'll see about Leonard's participation Friday. The ankle issue kept him out of Friday practice last week, but he then carried no injury designation into the game against the Seahawks and saw full playing time.

The Colts have ruled CB Xavier Rhodes (calf) out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. That's not particularly impactful for IDP leagues, but Rhodes' absence enhances the matchup for WR D.K. Metcalf.

The Colts have agreed to a 5-year extension with LB Darius Leonard, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The contract will be worth $99.25 million in total, with $52.5 million guaranteed. We didn't need affirmation that Leonard belongs atop the hill at LB, but it's good to know his situation won't be changing for a while.

Colts GM Chris Ballard says LB Darius Leonard has had an ankle "procedure" in early June, according to Mike Chappell of FOX59. Ballard said the team will monitor him but that there's "no reason for concern," despite conceding that the LB will miss some early practices. Leonard missed 2 games last season, but a groin injury was the culprit. We'll keep an eye out for anything further on this situation. For now, though, we'll take Ballard at his word and not adjust our outlook for Leonard.

Colts DE Justin Houston (calf) and S Malik Hooker (knee) are active for today's game against the Steelers. Each guy turned up questionable but is available for normal usage. Houston looks less attractive for IDP lineups than usual with the calf issue and strong Pittsburgh pass protection.
