Jadarian Price Drafted by the Seahawks in Final Pick of the First Round

        3:23am UTC 4/24/26

The Seattle Seahawks selected Notre Dame RB Jadarian Price in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Price was overshadowed by Jeremiyah Love but clearly showed enough on that limited work. After rebounding from a ruptured Achilles in 2022, he displayed consistent burst, power, and efficiency. That produced 6.0 career yards per carry and 10.8 per catch (albeit on only 15 career receptions). The Athletic’s Dane Brugler went so far as to say Price may have generated Heisman buzz had he transferred out of Notre Dame for 2025. Instead, Price hits the NFL with limited wear on his body. Among the 20 RBs invited to the NFL Combine, Price ranked 17th in 2025 rushing market share (27.5%) and third in yards after contact per attempt (3.92). He ranked second in 2025 missed tackles forced per attempt (0.28) and seventh in receiving yards per route run (1.23). He is currently 22 years old.

Jadarian Price Smaller & Slower Than Expected

        1:33am UTC 3/1/26

Notre Dame RB Jadarian Price measured 5'11 and 203 pounds at the Combine — seven pounds lighter than his listed college weight. That puts him in just the 18th percentile among Combine RBs since 1999. Price then ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash. His 99.9 Speed Score, which accounts for weight and 40 time, lands in the 66th percentile. None of this is overly damaging, but it’s a bit underwhelming for the near-consensus No. 2 RB in this class. Price played behind Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame and was lightly used, averaging just 8.3 carries and 0.4 catches per game over the past two seasons. There are still plenty of big plays on his tape: 19.2% of his career runs gained 15+ yards -- the second-highest rate among 27 of this year’s top RB prospects. But the measurables raise some concern that his production may have been fueled more by situation than individual talent. Price averaged a middling +0.8 yards per carry over expected this past season. He still looks like the No. 2 RB in the class, but the gap between Love and the rest of the group appears as wide as ever.
