Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has cleared concussion protocol, HC Nick Sirianni announced on Friday. Hurts will start Sunday's Wild Card game vs. the Packers and should be a full-go. Green Bay ranks fourth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs and limited Hurts to 19.4 fantasy points back in Week 1. Hurts checks in just fourth in our Wild Card Round QB Rankings.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion, finger) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He's on track to be cleared for this weekend's Wild Card game vs. the Packers. We'll see how Hurts is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion, left finger) was limited in Wednesday's practice. It's unclear exactly where he is in the concussion protocol, but the limited practice means he's at least made some progress. We're expecting Hurts to play against the Packers on Sunday but will keep you updated on his status over the next few days.
Eagles HC Nick Sirianni told reporters Monday that QB Jalen Hurts remains in the league concussion protocol. He suffered the injury early in the team's Week 16 loss to Washington.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Giants. He should be cleared in time to play in next week's Wild Card game. RB Saquon Barkley and WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are listed as doubtful. They won't play in this meaningless game. TE Dallas Goedert (knee) is not listed on the final injury report and could get a few snaps in this one to knock off some rust. We'd still avoid him in Week 18 fantasy lineups. QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) is listed as questionable but didn't practice all week. We're expecting QB Tanner McKee to get the start. RB Will Shipley (concussion) is listed as questionable but was a full-go in the final two practices of the week. He should be cleared for this one and figures to operate as Philadelphia's lead back.
Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said Wednesday that he'll rest starters, including RB Saquon Barkley, in Sunday's finale vs. the Giants. The Eagles are locked in as the NFC's No. 2 seed. So Barkley won't have a chance to get the 101 rushing yards he needs to break Eric Dickerson's single-season record. But he'll be healthy heading into the playoffs. Don't expect QB Jalen Hurts or WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to play on Sunday, either. We'll see whether Kenny Pickett (ribs) or Tanner McKee starts at QB. Backfield duties figure to be handled by Kenneth Gainwell and Will Shipley.
Eagles QB Kenny Pickett was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys with a rib injury. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports that Pickett was playing through broken ribs that he suffered in Week 16. He took painkilling shots both before the start of the game and at halftime. The Eagles are now locked into the NFC’s No. 2 seed, so there’s a good chance that it’s QB Tanner McKee under center in next weekend’s regular-season finale vs. the Giants.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion, finger) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) was limited in practice throughout the week but is off the final injury report and will get the start. That should mean a bit more passing volume for the Eagles, but a dip in efficiency. It projects as about a wash for WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He's now a major longshot to be cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. QB Kenny Pickett is on the injury report with a rib issue but got in a limited practice on Thursday. He's in line to start against Dallas.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion, finger) did not practice on Wednesday. He's not a good bet to clear protocol in time for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. QB Kenny Pickett is the favorite to start that one, but we'll see if Hurts can get on the field tomorrow.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts exited in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Commanders for a concussion check. He was replaced by QB Kenny Pickett, who tossed a TD to WR A.J. Brown. We'll update Hurts' status when we know more.
Update: Hurts has been ruled out with a concussion. It's his first documented concussion. We'll track his progress through the protocol this coming week, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts revealed after Sunday's win over the Steelers that he played through a broken finger on his left, non-throwing hand. "It did impact my play," Hurts said. “It didn’t get worse today. If it’s shattered, it’s shattered." Hurts lost a fumble vs. Pittsburgh but was otherwise excellent, completing 25 of 32 passes (78%) for 290 yards (9.1 YPA), two TDs, and 0 INTs and running 15 times for 45 yards and a score. We'll keep an eye on Hurts going forward, but he'll remain a must-start for Week 16's meeting with the Commanders.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had a massive fantasy performance against one of the best overall defenses in the league in the Steelers. He completed 25-of-32 passes for 290 yards and two TDs. Hurts also added 45 yards and a TD on the ground on 15 rushes.
