Rashod Bateman Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers (knee) is out for Saturday night's Wild Card game vs. the Steelers. It's a big loss for Baltimore. Flowers led the team in targets (24.3% of the total), receptions (23.3%), and receiving yards (25.3%) during the regular season. His absence this weekend figures to mean more playing time for WRs Nelson Agholor and Tylan Wallace. But we expect Baltimore to go heavy on 2-TE sets with Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. Those two, plus WR Rashod Bateman, are the team's best target bets.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers will "likely" miss next week's Wild Card game with the knee injury he suffered in Saturday's win over the Browns, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "It’s not considered a major injury, though there is a real chance he misses next week," Rapoport writes. "If Baltimore takes care of business, he could be back." Flowers is set for an MRI on Sunday, so we should learn more about his status soon. His absence would create more target opportunity for WR Rashod Bateman and TEs Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman is active for today's game against the Steelers. He picked up a foot injury during the practice week that limited him Wednesday and then kept him out Thursday. But NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported this morning that the team was optimistic. Bateman might be limited vs. his usual role and certainly carries some risk of leaving early. Keep that in mind as you consider whether to use him. Check your Team Intel page to see if Bateman makes sense for your lineup.

Ravens WRs Rashod Bateman (foot) and Nelson Agholor (concussion) are listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Steelers. Agholor did not practice all week and is a long shot to be cleared by Saturday. Bateman was added to the injury report on Wednesday and then did not practice on Thursday. He was spotted in a walking boot on Thursday morning. That might leave Baltimore without its No. 2 and 3 WRs this weekend. That'd likely mean target-share boosts for WR Zay Flowers and TEs Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely.

Update: The Ravens later downgraded Agholor to out.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman was the big fantasy winner in the Ravens’ victory over the Giants catching three of five targets for 80 yards and two TDs. It was the first multi-TD game of Bateman’s career as he becomes the deep threat for QB Lamar Jackson and the offense.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He was knocked out of Baltimore's last game back in Week 13 but will be ready to go for Sunday's game vs. the Giants. Bateman has had a few spike weeks this season but ranks just 48th among WRs in PPR points per game. He'd be a desperation Week 15 fantasy start in what figures to be a low passing volume game from the Ravens.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh said Monday that the knee injury that knocked WR Rashod Bateman out of the Week 13 loss to the Eagles is not long term. It sounds like we'll see Bateman again this season, although it's unclear exactly when that will be. He at least gets a Week 14 bye to heal up. Aready a fringe fantasy asset, Bateman can be dropped in most redraft leagues. His injury should be an opportunity for WR Diontae Johnson to add playing time, but he played zero snaps vs. against the Eagles and has something going on behind the scenes. Harbaugh wouldn't even commit to Johnson still being on the team after the bye week when asked on Monday. Nelson Agholor figures to step in as Baltimore's No. 2 WR if Bateman isn't ready come Week 15 but isn't worth an add outside of very deep fantasy leagues.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles with a knee injury. He wasn't targeted before exiting. We'll update Bateman's status when we know. His absence leaves snaps available for WRs Nelson Agholor, Diontae Johnson, and Tylan Wallace.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (knee) is not listed on the final Week 12 injury report. He returned to a full practice on Saturday after sitting out on Friday. Bateman should be ready for his usual role vs. the Chargers on Monday night.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (knee) was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday. We don't have any other details on the knee issue. We'll see if Bateman gets back on the practice field tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Chargers.

Insider Josina Anderson hears that the Ravens plan on making Diontae Johnson the No. 3 WR behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday and entered Sunday’s game questionable with an ankle. He was active against Cleveland, though, and delivered 7 grabs for 115 yards in an upset loss.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He twisted an ankle early in Monday night's win over the Bucs but still played 71% of Baltimore's offensive snaps. We're tentatively expecting him to be available for Sunday's game vs. the Browns, but we'll keep you updated on his status. WR Rashod Bateman would become a much more reliable Week 8 fantasy play if Flowers is out.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman caught all four of his targets for 121 yards including a 59-yard TD catch. When WR Zay Flowers went down early with an injury, Bateman became the primary WR targets for QB Lamar Jackson

Ravens WR Zay Flowers snagged 9 balls for 132 yards in Sunday’s win over Washington. All of Flowers’ production surfaced in the first half, as Lamar Jackson attempted only seven passes in the second half.
