        Buccaneers-Bills Weather Update

        4:03pm UTC 11/16/25

The forecast for today's Buccaneers-Bills game calls for sustained winds around 20 mph with gusts up to 35. There's a chance for a rain/snow mix, but the wind is the concern here. The over/under on this game has dropped from 48.5 on Thursday to 46.5. We're docking the passing projections on both sides and would avoid the kickers.

Chris Godwin Out For Week 11

        5:53pm UTC 11/14/25

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. He was limited in practice all week, potentially setting him up for a Week 12 return. Godwin’s absence this weekend keeps WR Tez Johnson and TE Cade Otton in play as low-end fantasy starters.

        Chris Godwin Limited Wednesday

        1:33am UTC 11/13/25

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) got in a practice limited on Wednesday -- his first since going down in Week 5. "Godwin is working his way back," HC Todd Bowles said. "He’s making good strides." We'll see if Godwin is able to play vs. the Bills this weekend. He wouldn't be a recommended fantasy start coming off the lengthy absence, but he'd add risk to WR Tez Johnson's fantasy outlook.

Chris Godwin Out For Week 10

        6:06pm UTC 11/7/25

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said on Thursday that Godwin could be out until "late-November or December." Emeka Egbuka, Tez Johnson, and Sterling Shepard will again operate as Tampa Bay's top three WRs this weekend.

Chris Godwin Out A Few More Weeks?

        3:10am UTC 11/7/25

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that the Buccaneers are "thinking late-November or December" for WR Chris Godwin's return from his fibula injury. Tampa gets the Rams in Week 12 on November 23, the Cardinals in Week 13 on November 30, and the Saints in Week 14 on December 7. It sounds like Godwin is targeting a return sometime during that stretch. It'll be at least a week beyond his return before we could trust him in fantasy lineups. And we're skeptical that Godwin will be back to 100% at any point this season. He's not a must-hold in shallower fantasy leagues. WR Tez Johnson and TE Cade Otton will continue to play expanded roles in the short term. WR Mike Evans (collarbone) isn't likely to be back until Week 14 at the earliest.

Chris Godwin Out For Week 8

        5:04pm UTC 10/22/25

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) won't play vs. the Saints this weekend, HC Todd Bowles said Wednesday. We'll see if Godwin can make it back after Tampa Bay's Week 9 bye. With WR Mike Evans (collarbone) also out, rookie Tez Johnson figures to operate as the No. 2 WR vs. New Orleans. Sterling Shepard will remain in his slot role. See where those guys sit in the Week 8 WR rankings.

Emeka Egbuka Catches 4 Balls, Avoids Setbacks

        11:34am UTC 10/21/25

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka returned from a Week 6 hamstring injury and played 53 of Tampa's 68 snaps in their Monday Night loss to the Lions. Egbuka led the team with 12 targets and ranked second with 58 receiving yards. Most importantly, Egbuka emerged from the game healthy and will be counted on to be Tampa's No. 1 WR after Mike Evans broke his collarbone. Evans is slated to miss significant time.

        Mike Evans Has Broken Collarbone

        3:38am UTC 10/21/25

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans broke his collarbone in Monday night's loss to the Lions, HC Todd Bowles said afterward. Bowles said Evans will miss most of the rest of the regular season. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport notes that the typical timeline for a broken collarbone would have Evans out until early-to-mid December. That's somewhere in the Week 14-16 range. That makes Evans stashable in fantasy leagues with IR spots or very deep benches. But he's droppable in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Baker Mayfield Overcomes WR Injuries vs. San Francisco

        6:26pm UTC 10/13/25

Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield completed 17 of 23 passes for 256 yards and 2 scores in Sunday's win over San Francisco. Mayfield added 14 rushing yards for a decent fantasy day, despite several adverse developments.

        Updates On Injured Buccaneers WRs

        12:52pm UTC 10/13/25

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport expects WR Emeka Egbuka to "miss some time" with the hamstring injury he suffered in the Week 6 win over the 49ers. The rookie is scheduled for an MRI on Monday. "Does not seem like it's that serious," Rapoport adds. Consider Egbuka unlikely to play vs. the Lions this weekend. Tampa Bay then gets the Saints in Week 8 before a Week 9 bye, so it's possible that we don't see Egbuka again until Week 10. Rapoport adds that WR Mike Evans is "nearing a return" from his hamstring injury, while WR Chris Godwin is "week-to-week" with his fibula injury. We'll see if Evans can make it back for the Lions game. If not, the Bucs will be down to Tez Johnson, Kameron Johnson, and Sterling Shepard as their top three WRs.

Chris Godwin "Week To Week" With Fibula Injury

        4:43pm UTC 10/10/25

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin is considered "week to week" with his fibula injury, according to The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. The injury is in a different area from the ankle injury that ended Godwin's 2024 season, per Stroud. There are no plans to place Godwin on IR, but it sounds like he might miss more than just one game. With WR Mike Evans (hamstring) also out for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers, WRs Sterling Shepard and Tez Johnson should pick up more snaps. Both guys would be desperation fantasy plays. This passing game should continue to run through WR Emeka Egbuka.

Jalen McMillan To Miss Start Of Season With Neck Injury

        5:13pm UTC 8/19/25

Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan is expected to miss the start of the season after suffering a "severely strained neck" in the second preseason game, according to HC Todd Bowles. Bowles added that the injury "shouldn't be" career threatening. We'll look for a more concrete timeline for McMillan's return.

Update: McMillan will be placed on IR and "could be out past the Bucs Week 9 bye week," according to The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud.

Buccaneers Draft Tiny WR Tez Johnson in Round 7

        10:18pm UTC 4/26/25

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Oregon WR Tez Johnson with the 237th pick of Round 7 in the 2025 NFL Draft. His tape turns up a true separator, which is vital at 5’9, 156 pounds. That’s Tutu Atwell size and about ten pounds lighter than Tank Dell. Johnson spent three years at Troy, with the final two turning up 123-1,598-8. Then came a transfer to Oregon to play with Bo Nix, whose family essentially adopted him at age 15. It was no surprise, then, that Johnson erupted for 86-1,182-10 in 2023. He posted a sparkling 81.1% catch rate and ranked just behind Troy Franklin in targets and catches per game. In 2024, Johnson’s big plays declined. Still, he tallied clear team leads in catches (83), yards (898), and receiving TDs (10). He had a 7.29 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) based on his predraft testing. He also ranked 19th among Combine WRs in 2024 Target Share at 22.9%, and fifth among those WRs in PFF Receiving Grade with an 87. He is currently 22 years old with a Breakout Age of 19.3. He ranked 15th among WRs in our Draft Sharks predraft Rookie Model scoring a 6.60. Our Comp for him in our Rookie Guide is Tank Dell. Johnson’s frame adds volatility to his NFL outlook, but his production shows he knows how to play the position at a high level.
