Tyler Lockett Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that there's no structural damage to QB Geno Smith's elbow. Smith is sore, though, and will be evaluated over the next few days, Carroll added. It sounds like Smith is uncertain for Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers, although we'd expect him to push to play in such a big game. We'll keep tabs on his status. QB Drew Lock would be a significant downgrade for the offense if Smith is unable to play.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett entered Sunday's game questionable with a hamstring injury that kept him out of practice all week. He still managed to run a route on 71.4% of QB Geno Smith's dropbacks and finished second on the team in targets (7). The route rate fell slightly from Lockett's usual, trailing WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba behind team leader D.K. Metcalf. Lockett managed 5 receptions for a just-OK 51 yards. That's not winning your fantasy matchup, but it's a decent line for a guy fighting off hamstring trouble. We'll be watching Lockett's status heading into a Week 12 home date with the 49ers. That matchup has been more favorable for opponent passing games than to RB scoring.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said after Sunday's loss to the Rams that QB Geno Smith has a bruise on his “tricep, back of his elbow” that “blew up a little bit.” Carroll wouldn’t say whether Smith will be able to play vs. the 49ers on Thanksgiving night. If not, Seattle will turn to QB Drew Lock, who went 2 of 6 for three yards and an INT today. We should get another update on Smith on Monday.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. He’s been dealing with this hamstring injury since Week 7 but didn’t practice all week for the first time this season. Lockett comes with elevated risk today, but he’s available if you were waiting on him.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Rams today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Lockett is listed as questionable after missing practice all week. "The Seahawks still want to work out Tyler Lockett pregame before deciding he will play because it is a hamstring injury and he didn’t practice last week," Schefter adds. "But Lockett has a history of playing with and through injury." If you're hoping to use Lockett today, it'd still be wise to have a late-game alternative lined up. We won't get Seattle's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. He’s been on the injury report with a hamstring injury since Week 7. But, unlike those times, Lockett didn’t practice at all this week. "He ran today though, he worked out and did all that with the trainers, but we didn't run him in practice," HC Pete Carroll said Friday. "He'll run again tomorrow. It's day-to-day right now." We’ll look for further updates on Lockett’s status but won’t get Seattle’s inactives until 3 pm ET on Sunday.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He's been out or limited each of the past four Wednesdays and played each week. He should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Rams.

Seahawks rookie WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the team with 6 receptions and 63 yards in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. His 7 targets trailed only WR Tyler Lockett's 8. Seattle kept three WRs on the field more than usual in a game that found the Seahawks down 17-3 at the half and 30-3 by the end of the third quarter. Four of JSN's receptions came after Baltimore had pushed the lead to 30-3. The rookie has seen more usage since the Week 5 bye, but this game likely elevated that further with such negative game script for Seattle. JSN still shouldn't be in starting consideration for most leagues going forward, though he's closer since the bye than he was before. A Week 10 matchup with Washington adds upside to everyone in the passing game.

Seahawks WRs D.K. Metcalf (hip) and Tyler Lockett (hamstring) are off the final Week 9 injury report. Both guys were full participants in Friday’s practice and should be ready for their usual roles in this weekend’s game vs. the Ravens.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It's an upgrade over last week, when he didn't practice at all on Thursday. Lockett should be ready for his usual role in this weekend's game vs. the Ravens.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He didn't practice last Wednesday or Thursday before returning to a full practice on Friday and then posting an 8-81-1 line in the win over the Browns. Lockett should be fine for this weekend's game against Baltimore.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett caught 8 of 11 targets for a team-leading 81 yards and a TD in Week 8’s victory over the Browns. His teammate D.K. Metcalf was not nearly as efficient on his looks, logging just 5 catches on 14 targets for 67 yards. Rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba, however, made good use of his opportunities by catching 3 passes for 36 yards and a score in the contest. This trio of WRs combined for 75% of the Seahawks’ targets. It’s pretty clear who QB Geno Smith will look for in Week 9 vs. the Ravens.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice and should be ready to play his usual role today.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Browns later today. Lockett is listed as questionable but was a full participant in Friday's practice. We're expecting him to play his usual role today.

The Seahawks list WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Browns. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was a full participant on Friday. HC Pete Carroll confirmed on Friday that Lockett will play vs. Cleveland. The hamstring issue adds a bit of risk, but we’re expecting Lockett in a full-time role on Sunday.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He played through this injury last week, but Lockett's availability for Sunday's game vs. the Browns can't be taken for granted. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He only got in two limited practices last week before playing vs. the Cardinals. He should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Browns, but we'll update Lockett's status again tomorrow.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. That should mean target boosts for WRs Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba – and potentially TEs Noah Fant, Colby Parkinson, and Will Dissly. Jake Bobo figures to slide into a top-3 WR role.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett paced the team with 6 catches and 94 yards in Week 6. As usual, Lockett proved effective while working downfield. He earned a 19.5% target share from Geno Smith, who remained inconsistent against Cincinnati. Note: D.K. Metcalf picked up a hip injury on Sunday but was able to return. Regardless of Metcalf’s Week 7 status, Lockett will remain a clear fantasy starter vs. Arizona.
