Bottom Line

Beckham landed in a fine spot to retain deep-league fantasy value.

At bottom, he’s something of a WR handcuff given (1) Miami’s lack of WR depth and (2) the team’s reliance on Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

What We Learned Last Year

• Beckham missed two games with an early-season ankle injury.
  • He also played through a Week 11 shoulder injury.
• When active, he never became a reliable fantasy option. Despite missed time from Mark Andrews, Beckham finished as a top-36 WR only three times.
  • He ranked outside the top 60 on nine occasions.
• There were a few bright spots in his profile.
  • Beckham's 15.4 yards per catch marked his highest career figure.
  • His 1.80 yards per route was his best mark from the past two seasons.
  • The Ravens still saw value in his downfield ability: Beckham’s 15.0-yard aDOT was another career high.

What to Expect in 2024

• The Dolphins ran 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WRs) at one of the lowest rates league-wide last year (44.8%). The signing of Beckham certainly suggests a major turnaround.
• The Dolphins signed him to a modest one-year deal with $3 million guaranteed.
• Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle return after seeing a massive 50% target share in 2023.
• Malik Washington and Tajh Washington arrived in the draft. The late-round picks will slot in behind Beckham in the target pecking order.
• Look for Miami’s offense to remain one rooted in balance. Despite strong 2023 seasons from Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane, the team added another speed back in Round 4 pick Jaylen Wright.
