Bears QB Caleb Williams delivered a strong fantasy outing in Sunday’s comeback win over the Giants. The second-year pro tallied 220 passing yards and 1 TD, plus 63 yards and another score on the ground.
What They're Saying
Here's WR Rome Odunze on the play of Caleb Williams.
“It all slows down for him,” receiver Rome Odunze said via The Athletic. “Whereas for some people, things might speed up and they feel the pressure of that moment, everything slows down for him. He’s just very present, in the moment and making those plays. That’s when he puts his Superman cape on and becomes extraordinary.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Williams did most of his damage on the Bears’ final two drives. Playing from behind, he led drives that ended in a 2-yard TD pass to Rome Odunze and a 17-yard rushing score from the QB himself.
Bears pass catchers dropped several passes, limiting Williams to a 55.5% completion rate. He did well to avoid putting the ball in harm’s way, though, while OC Ben Johnson schemed up some relatively easy throws. Per Next Gen Stats, only 5.6% of Williams’ attempts were charted as tight-window throws.
Interestingly, his numbers surfaced with zero catches (4 targets) from D.J. Moore. One intended pass was a near miss in the end zone, with another tipped on a screen pass.
Instead, it was the Rome Odunze show, as he rebounded from a rough Week 9 to tally 6-86-1. He scored on a busted coverage from 2 yards out.
Next up is a Vikings pass D that’s allowed 2+ passing scores to four of their past five opponents. Williams will remain a QB1 option for that one.
