The battery case against Saints RB Alvin Kamara was delayed again on Thursday -- this time until November 9. Lawyers from both sides of the case are reportedly working to set a meeting for negotiations. It continues to look like any potential Kamara suspension would not come until 2023.
Saints RB Alvin Kamra had the ball come his way plenty in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. But he endured a lackluster day. The RB gained 61 yards on 15 carries, handling 75% of New Orleans' RB rushing attempts. He also ranked 2nd on the team with 7 targets, but Kamara caught just 2 of them for 12 yards. Mark Ingram took the other 5 carries and saw 0 targets.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He was limited in practice all week and carries more risk than usual in fantasy lineups. But there’s still RB1 upside here.
The Saints expect RB Alvin Kamara (rib) to play Sunday against the Panthers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Officially questionable, Kamara took part in practice all 3 days. We’d plan to use him, assuming he is active
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. He was limited in practice all week. We’re tentatively expecting Kamara to play on Sunday, but we’ll get New Orleans’ inactives around 11:30 am ET.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We're tentatively expecting him to return for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers but will get another update on his status tomorrow.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's positive news after he missed practice last Thursday and Friday before ending up inactive for the Bucs game. Kamara seemingly has a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.
With a rib injury sidelining RB Alvin Kamara, RB Mark Ingram led the backfield in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. He carried 10 times for 60 yards and caught his only 2 targets for 3 more. Dwayne Washington (4-18 rushing) and Tony Jones Jr. (2-8 rushing, 2-12 receiving) factored in as well. Jones actually led the group in playing team, beating Ingram by 9 snaps and 14 routes. New Orleans couldn't get much of anything going in a game that saw the Saints score only 10 points. We'll see about Kamara's status for Week 3.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bucs. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 3. RB Mark Ingram (ankle) is active and should operate as New Orleans’ lead back today. He finished RB10 and RB13 in half-PPR points in 2 starts in place of Kamara last year. But his ankle issue and a tough matchup leave him in RB3 territory in the Week 2 Rankings. RBs Tony Jones and Dwayne Washington are also active for the Saints.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) is not expected to play vs. the Bucs today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweets that Kamara has a "chance" to play but adds that, "it'll be tough." We'll get New Orleans' inactives around 11:30 am ET, but fantasy owners should currently plan on not having Kamara. Schefter and Rapoport both report that RB Mark Ingram (ankle) is expected to play through his questionable tag. Ingram racked up 30 carries and 15 targets across 2 games without Kamara last year, finishing as the RB10 and RB13 in half-PPR points. But the ankle and negative matchup vs. Tampa Bay add risk to his Week 2 fantasy profile.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. He was limited in Wednesday's practice but sidelined on Thursday and Friday. So Kamara looks truly iffy for this one. RBs Mark Ingram (ankle) and Dwayne Washington (hamstring) are also listed as questionable after limited weeks of practice. The Saints also have RB Tony Jones on the active roster and RB Latavius Murray on the practice squad. We'll get their inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) went from a limited practice on Wednesday to no practice on Thursday. It's unclear if he suffered a setback or just got the day off. Friday's final injury report will give us a better idea of Kamara's status for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He played through the issue last week and is on track to play vs. the Bucs this weekend.
Saints HC Dennis Allen said RB Alvin Kamara was dealing with a rib issue in Sunday's opener vs. the Falcons. That helps explain Kamara's disappointing usage and production in that one. "I think he’s going to be fine," Allen said. We'll need to keep an eye on Kamara this week, but it sounds like he has a chance to play vs. the Bucs on Sunday. RB Mark Ingram would be the beneficiary if Kamara is out or limited.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara posted just 39 yards on 9 carries in Sunday's win over the Falcons, plus a mere 7 yards on 3 receptions. New Orleans fell behind 16-7 and 26-10 in this contest, which likely didn't help the rushing volume. And the pass offense struggled for much of the game. New Orleans ran just 21 offensive plays in the 1st half vs. 36 for Atlanta. The Saints got better on that front after the break but were also playing catchup. It was a frustrating start for Kamara, but not particularly worrisome. He still beat Mark Ingram 9-4 in carries and 4-1 in targets. And although Taysom Hill stole the team's lone rushing TD, he garnered just 5 offensive opportunities.
