Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Raiders QB Derek Carr threw for a modest 231 yards in Sunday's win over the Patriots but also tallied 3 TDs. He found WR Mack Hollins, TE Darren Waller and WR Keenan Cole for scores. Waller caught all 3 of his targets for 48 yards in his 1st game since Week 5. Hollins tied WR Davante Adams for the team lead with just 4 receptions. Adams (9) and Hollins (8) were the only 2 Raiders to draw more than 3 targets. Week 16 brings a matchup with Pittsburgh, which hit Sunday as a near-neutral scoring matchup for QBs.
Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow has been placed on IR with an oblique injury. He'll miss at least the next 4 games, making Week 14 his earliest possible return. Renfrow has dealt with a few different injuries this season and averaged just 4.8 targets, 3.5 caches and 32 yards across 6 games. He's cuttable in all redraft leagues. Vegas will now be without Renfrow and TE Darren Waller for at least the next 4 weeks, which should push even more value to RB Josh Jacobs and WR Davante Adams. WR Mack Hollins and TE Foster Moreau should also get target boosts. Keelan Cole figures to take over as the #3 WR but isn't worth adding to fantasy rosters.
Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's now looking like a long shot to play vs. the Titans this weekend. We'll see how Vegas replaces Renfrow's slot snaps. WRs Tyron Johnson and Keelan Cole are behind primary outside WRs Davante Adams and Mack Hollins.
The Raiders released WR Keelan Cole. They're rolling with WRs Mack Hollins, Tyron Johnson and D.J. Turner behind Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow.
The Raiders released WR Demarcus Robinson. It's a slightly surprising move because Robinson was Vegas' most accomplished WR behind Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow. But, per The Athletic's Vic Tafur, Mack Hollins and Keelan Cole have emerged as the team's #3 and #4 WRs. "Tyron Johnson’s speed has put him in the mix as well," Tafur adds. None of these guys will be 2022 fantasy factors without an injury to Adams or Renfrow.
The Raiders signed WR Keelan Cole to a 1-year deal. The 29-year-old tallied 748 yards as an undrafted rookie back in 2017 but hasn't topped that number since. He's coming off a 28-449-1 line for the Jets last season. In Vegas, Cole will battle WRs Bryan Edwards and Demarcus Robinson for scraps behind Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller. Cole remains off the fantasy radar.
The Jets on Saturday placed WR Elijah Moore on IR for his quad injury. That knocks him out for at least the next 3 games, which makes the rookie droppable in most cases if you don't have an extra spot to stash him. Week 17 would be the earliest Moore can return. His absence boosts the target outlooks for Keelan Cole and Jamison Crowder, as well as Jets RBs.
Jets WR Corey Davis (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Eagles. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. We’ll find out whether Davis is active around 11:30 am ET on Sunday, but we’d try not to use him in fantasy lineups at less than 100%. WR Keelan Cole (COVID) is out for Week 13.
Jets WR Corey Davis (groin) will not practice on Wednesday, HC Robert Saleh said. Davis hurt his groin last Wednesday and missed the Texans game. He looks iffy for this Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. The Jets will definitely be without WR Keelan Cole, who landed on the COVID list on Tuesday.
Jets WR Keelan Cole has been placed on the COVID list, putting his Week 13 status in question. Cole replaced WR Corey Davis (groin) last week, playing 96% of the offensive snaps. We'll see if Cole and/or Davis are available for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles.
Jets WR Corey Davis (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Texans. Look for Elijah Moore and Keelan Cole to operate as New York’s primary outside WRs, with Jamison Crowder in the slot.
Jets WR Corey Davis (groin) has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Texans. His likely absence will leave Elijah Moore and Keelan Cole as New York's outside WRs, with Jamison Crowder in the slot.
Jets WR Corey Davis (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the Colts. His absence will again leave Jamison Crowder, Denzel Mims, Keelan Cole and Elijah Moore as New York's top 4 WRs.
Jets WRs Jamison Crowder (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Patriots. WR Keelan Cole (knee) is active. We’ll see how snaps are divvied behind Corey Davis and Elijah Moore.
Jets WRs Jamison Crowder (groin) and Keelan Cole (knee) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Patriots. Neither guy should be in Week 2 fantasy lineups. But their returns would add some target competition for WRs Corey Davis and Elijah Moore.
Jets WR Keelan Cole (knee) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. Cole hurt his knee in practice last Thursday and missed the opener. The Jets reportedly expect him back for Week 2, but we'll keep an eye on his progress over the next couple of days.
Jets WR Keelan Cole (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Panthers. WR Jamison Crowder (COVID) is also out, leaving Corey Davis and Elijah Moore as the Jets’ clear top 2 WRs.
Jets WR Keelan Cole (knee) is considered a "true game-time decision" for today's opener vs. the Panthers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Cole shouldn't be in your fantasy plans, but his absence would free up more targets for WRs Corey Davis and Elijah Moore.
