Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) is not expected to play vs. the Texans today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The rookie aggravated his shoulder injury in Friday's practice. Arizona will also be without WR Zach Pascal (hamstring) today, leaving Greg Dortch as the likely No. 3 WR. That arrangement figures to push WR Rondale Moore to the outside when the Cardinals go with three WRs. Moore, WR Marquise Brown, and TE Trey McBride have a chance to pick up an extra target or two with Wilson out.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride led the team in targets (9), receptions (8), and receiving yards (131) in Sunday's win over the Falcons, the first game this season with QB Kyler Murray. McBride drew a target on 28.1% of Murray's attempts, claimed 42.1% of the team's receptions, and accounted for 52.6% of the team's receiving yards. It marked his third straight game of heavy usage following the injury that landed TE Zach Ertz on IR. McBride has drawn target shares of 25% or better in each of those games, with three different starters at QB. We'd be surprised if the second-year TE falls out of fantasy relevance even after Ertz is eligible to return. McBride looks like a weekly fantasy starter going forward. WR Rondale Moore checked in second on the team in targets (8), receptions (5), and receiving yards (43). WR Marquise Brown managed just 1 reception for 28 yards on 4 targets. Expect the pass offense -- beyond McBride -- to improve as Murray gets further into his return.
Cardinals QB Clayton Tune completed 11 of 20 passes for 58 yards and 2 INTs in Week 9 vs. the Ravens. The rookie wasn’t very successful on Sunday. The same can be said for the rest of the Arizona offense. WR Marquise Brown hauled 4 of 8 targets for 24 yards, and TE Trey McBride accumulated 22 yards on 3 receptions. These two were the only Cardinals who totaled greater than 10 yards gained, rushing or receiving, in the contest. There’s not much fantasy-wise to take away from this contest, though it’s very likely that Week 10 will see the season debut of QB Kyler Murray (ACL). Next weekend’s matchup against the Falcons should be a good spot for both Murray and McBride as Atlanta ranks within the top 10-easiest matchups in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs and TEs this season.
Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Browns. He figures to be replaced by WR Zach Pascal. Wilson’s absence could mean an extra target or two for WR Marquise Brown, WR Rondale Moore, and TE Trey McBride.
Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. He didn’t practice all week and shouldn’t be in Week 9 fantasy lineups. Wilson’s absence would leave Zach Pascal as Arizona’s No. 2 outside WR and potentially mean extra targets for WR Marquise Brown, WR Rondale Moore, and TE Trey McBride.
Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. His absence vs. the Browns this weekend would leave Zach Pascal as Arizona's No. 2 outside WR -- and potentially mean more targets for WR Marquise Brown, WR Rondale Moore, and TE Trey McBride.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. He should be ready for his usual role in this potential high-scoring contest.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (illness) is expected to play vs. the Rams this afternoon, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Brown got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and should be ready for his usual role today.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. He sat out on Wednesday but got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Players very rarely miss games with illnesses, so Brown can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now. We’ll keep you updated on his status.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown saw a team-high 10 targets on Sunday, converting 4 catches for 61 receiving yards and a TD vs. the Bengals. TE Zach Ertz had been hot as of late with the second-most targets among TEs (30) entering Week 5, though he had a bit of a down game in this one. The veteran hauled just 2 of 4 targets for 10 yards. Fortunately, he found the end zone and salvaged his fantasy day from that standpoint. Rookie WR Michael Wilson flopped after last week’s breakout with just one 18-yard catch in the contest. We’ll be happy to go back to Brown and Ertz in lineups again in Week 6 vs. the Rams.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (thumb) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He injured his thumb on Thursday but was able to get in a limited practice on Friday. It’s unclear how big an issue it’ll be today, adding some risk to Brown’s Week 4 fantasy profile.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (thumb) is expected to play vs. the 49ers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown injured his thumb on Thursday but was able to get in a limited practice on Friday. It's unclear if the thumb will be a factor today.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (thumb) is questionable for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. He injured his thumb on Thursday but was able to get in a limited practice on Friday. We'll look for further updates on Brown's status but won't get Arizona's inactives until around 3 pm ET on Sunday. The thumb injury will add some risk to Brown's fantasy profile if he does suit up this weekend.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown was added to Thursday's injury report with a thumb and limited in practice. That likely means he injured the thumb today. We'll see what he does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown gathered 5 catches, 61 yards, and 1 score in a Week 3 win over Dallas. His 7 targets represented a 33.3% team share. He’s benefiting from Josh Dobbs’ surprisingly effective play, as the QB hit him both downfield (23 yards) and at the goal line (2 yards) on tight-window connections. Brown now travels to San Francisco looking to sustain a hefty season-long target share of 27.5%.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown led all pass-catchers with 10 targets on Sunday, corralling 6 catches for 54 yards and 1 TD in Week 2. TE Zach Ertz once again saw major involvement, recording 6 catches on 8 targets for 56 yards. While there aren’t many reasons to be excited about this offense, it’s becoming apparent who the top receiving options are for QB Joshua Dobbs. Managers in deeper leagues in need of TE help ought to consider picking up Ertz off of the waiver wire. Both players will be intriguing options next week vs. the Cowboys.
Cardinals TE Zach Ertz led the team with 10 targets in Sunday’s loss vs. the Commanders, hauling in 6 catches for 21 yards. WRs Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore each saw 3 catches for 28 yards and 33 yards, respectively. Hopes for this Arizona offense aren’t particularly high as QB Kyler Murray continues to work his way back from a torn ACL. Still, a 33.3% target share from Ertz is a remarkable feat worth remembering for those in need of TE help out on the waiver wire. We’ll see if this usage continues in Week 2 vs. the Rams.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He was limited in practice all week, adding some risk to his Week 1 fantasy profile.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Commanders today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown was limited in practice all week and carries elevated risk in fantasy lineups with the hamstring issue.
