Marquise Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

WR Marquise Brown led the Cardinals with 8 targets in Sunday's return from IR. He also played 15 more snaps than WR DeAndre Hopkins and ran 3 more routes. Hopkins still drew 6 targets and caught 4 balls for 87 yards and a TD. Brown managed 6 receptions for 46 yards. RB James Conner was the only other Cardinal to catch more than 1 pass. Brown's return could limit the target upside for Hopkins going forward, but there should be room for both at least as long as slot WR Rondale Moore is out.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Chargers. It’ll be his 1st action since Week 6. It’s unclear exactly how big a role Brown will play, but Arizona could certainly use him with both WR Rondale Moore (groin) and WR Greg Dortch (thumb) inactive. Consider Brown a risk/reward WR3 play today.

The Cardinals have activated WR Marquise Brown from IR. Brown has been out since breaking a bone in his left foot in Week 6 but should find targets available. Arizona will be without slot man Rondale Moore, and slot backup Greg Dortch is questionable.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) is expected to be activated from IR and play vs. the Chargers on Sunday, HC Kliff Kingsbury said. Brown has been practicing for a couple of weeks now after going down back in Week 6. He carries elevated risk in his 1st game back but certainly has enough upside to make sense in plenty of fantasy lineups. Brown averaged 10.7 targets, 7.2 catches, 81 yards and .5 TDs over the first 6 games of the season -- although none of those came with WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) was not activated from IR for tonight's game vs. the 49ers, as The Score's Jordan Schultz reported would be the case yesterday. Brown is reportedly aiming for a Week 12 return after getting back on the practice field this past week.

The Score's Jordan Schultz reports that Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) won't play vs. the 49ers on Monday night. Brown returned to practice this week after chipping a bone in his foot in Week 6. He's "feeling much better" and is hoping to return for Week 12, per Schultz. But Brown should be on fantasy benches for Week 11.

The Cardinals have designated WR Marquise Brown (foot) to return from IR. That opens a 3-week window for him to return to practice and the team to decide whether to put him back on the active roster. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds, however, that Brown "could play" this Monday night against the 49ers. He's worth grabbing off waivers this week where available either way but would be tough to throw into fantasy football lineups right away. We'll keep an eye on Brown's status heading into the weekend.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that WR Marquise Brown is getting close to returning from his foot injury. "I think he's getting to the point where it's going to be day-to-day," Kingsbury said "He's come a long way in a short time and I'm not sure if he'll make it this week, but hopefully sooner rather than later. If not, we'll give him the bye [week] and then I would expect those last five [games] he'll be ready to go." It sounds like Brown's earliest realistic return date in Week 12 -- but after the Cardinals' Week 13 bye might be more likely. This all jibes with Brown's original timetable. If you've held on to him this whole time, keep hanging.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) has been placed on IR. That means he's out for at least the next 4 games. Brown is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with his injury, so this doesn't change his rest-of-season outlook.

CBS Sports' Josina Anderson hears that Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) is now expected to miss 4-6 weeks after getting a 2nd opinion from foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson. Brown has a chipped bone around the arch area of his left foot. The short end of that new timetable would have Brown back for Week 11. The long end would keep him out through Arizona's Week 13 bye. We'd try to keep Brown stash if you have the bench room or an IR spot.

The foot injury for Cardinals WR Marquise Brown isn't as bad as feared, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown suffered a small, "non-surgical" fracture to his left foot. It's expected to need 6 weeks' healing time. Brown is reportedly headed to Dr. Robert Anderson for a 2nd opinion. With Arizona's Week 13 bye 7 weeks from now, it seems like Week 14 against the Patriots is the earliest we're likely to see him. That timeline would make Brown cuttable in many fantasy leagues that don't have IR slots. We'd wait for official confirmation on his prognosis before making any move, though.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the foot injury for Cardinals WR Marquise Brown is "potentially season-ending." Brown is undergoing further testing today to determine the extent. The trade for WR Robbie Anderson also seemed to point to concern on the team's part. We'll watch for the official diagnosis on Brown.

The Panthers are trading WR Robbie Anderson to the Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Anderson had already been on the trade block before his sideline altercation with Carolina's coaching staff in Sunday's loss to the Rams. He heads from a pathetic Panthers passing game to a struggling Cardinals passing game. When Arizona's WR corps is healthy, Anderson might be the #4 WR behind DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore. Brown went down with a foot injury late in Week 6, though, so we'll see about his status. Anderson is worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams, but we're not very excited about his rest-of-season outlook.

Update: The Panthers are receiving a 2024 6th-round pick and a 2025 7th-rounder for Anderson, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Cardinals TE Zach Ertz tied WR Rondale Moore for the team lead with 10 targets in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. He caught a team-high 7 passes for a team-leading 70 yards. Moore caught 6 balls for 49 yards. WR Marquise Brown garnered 9 looks, catching 5 for 68 yards. RB Eno Benjamin and WR A.J. Green combined for the remaining 7 targets.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown hurt his left foot late in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. He told the media afterward that x-rays came back negative, but he was in a walking boot and had a "noticeable limp," according to insider Darren Urban. Brown will undergo further testing on Monday, so we should learn more then. The Cardinals host the Saints this coming Thursday night.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) is not listed on the final Week 5 injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. He’ll be ready for his usual role vs. the Eagles this weekend.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be fine for this weekend's game vs. the Eagles.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. Brown played through this issue last week, so he should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. Check back tomorrow for another Brown update.
