It's OK If You Didn't Notice Saquon Barkley's Season High in Carries

        2:20pm UTC 11/17/25

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley logged a season-high 26 carries in Sunday night's win over the Lions. But he turned that into a mere 83 yards (3.2 per attempt), adding 1 catch for 7 yards among two targets. That followed Barkley tying his previous carry high at 22 in the Week 10 win at Green Bay. Barkley, of course, managed just 2.7 yards per rush in that contest. And it's not clear how much of his Sunday night workload was specifically planned pregame.

Saquon Barkley: Groin Injury "Nothing Crazy”

        1:11am UTC 10/27/25

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley said after Sunday's win over the Giants that he could have re-entered had the game been closer. He wound up missing the fourth quarter with a groin injury that he said is "nothing crazy." We'll look for further updates on Barkley' status, but he gets a well-timed Week 9 bye. RB Tank Bigsby controlled Philadelphia's backfield after Barkley exited, handling seven of nine RB carries. He's worth stashing until we know more about Barkley.

Saquon Barkley Leaves With Groin Injury

        7:23pm UTC 10/26/25

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley exited with a groin injury at the end of the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Giants. He was in obvious discomfort and headed straight to the medical tent. We'll update Barkley's status when we know more. Barkley has having a huge day before exiting, totaling 174 yards and two TDs. His absence leaves Philadelphia with RBs Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and A.J. Dillon.

The Good and Bad of Saquon Barkley's Week 5

        10:10am UTC 10/6/25

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley heads into Monday night with the 10th-best PPR score at the position for Week 5. But his production against the Broncos carried positive and negative. Barkley caught three passes for 47 yards and a TD but added just six carries for 30 yards. That marked his fewest carries and yards for a healthy game since 2022 with the Giants.

Will Shipley Out For Week 3

        8:23pm UTC 9/19/25

Eagles RB Will Shipley (oblique) is out for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, which should have him on track for a Week 4 return. A.J. Dillon operated as Philadelphia’s No. 2 RB last week. RB Tank Bigsby did not play on offense.

Will Shipley Back At Practice Thursday

        9:41pm UTC 9/18/25

Eagles RB Will Shipley (oblique) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Rams. Shipley, of course, is not a fantasy option as long as RB Saquon Barkley is healthy. But we're curious to see how the depth chart shakes out behind Barkley between Shipley, Tank Bigsby, and A.J. Dillon.

Will Shipley Won't Play Week 2

        8:07pm UTC 9/12/25

Eagles RB Will Shipley (oblique) is out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. That’ll leave A.J. Dillon and the recently acquired Tank Bigsby behind Saquon Barkley. We don’t have a timetable for Shipley’s return.

Travis Etienne Dominates Week 1 Backfield

        3:19am UTC 9/8/25

No matter how you look at it, Travis Etienne dominated the Week 1 Jacksonville backfield. The rushing numbers are obvious. He racked up a 16-143 rushing line. A 71-yard second-quarter run delivered a big boost; but even without that, his other 15 rushes averaged 4.8 yards. Etienne also played 40 of 66 offensive snaps (60.6%) vs. just 14 for Tank Bigsby, nine for LeQuint Allen, and four for Bhayshul Tuten. Etienne's 15 pass routes also accounted for more than half of the backfield's total. Bigsby and Allen combined for the other 13.

Travis Etienne Emerging As The RB1 in Jacksonville?

        12:49pm UTC 8/11/25

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne got the start in Jacksonville’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. Despite a potential RB competition, Etienne played every snap with Jacksonville’s starting offense. Etienne could be the best fit for HC Liam Coen’s offense, according to John Shipley of Sports Illustrated.

The 'Tank Bigsby Show' In Jaguars Backfield So Far

        4:28pm UTC 7/25/25

Tank Bigsby has been the Jaguars' best RB and has received the most first-team touches in training camp so far, according to multiple beat writers. Sports Illustrated's John Shipley wrote that Friday's practice was the "Tank Bigsby Show."

Is Travis Etienne the Sneakiest Lead Back in Drafts Right Now?

        2:16am UTC 6/21/25

Jacksonville's backfield will be one of the most interesting to watch through summer. SI.com Jaguars beat writer weighed in (mildly) this week by positing, "My guess is Travis Etienne is the lead running back." That came as part of a full 53-man roster projection, and he followed that with "but all four get some run at some point." The other three: Tank Bigsby, fourth-round rookie Bhayshul Tuten, and seventh-round rookie LeQuint Allen. The standing seems particularly noteworthy for Etienne because he's been a subject of recent trade rumors.

Jaguars Add Backfield Competition in Bhayshul Tuten

        4:16pm UTC 4/26/25

The Jaguars selected Virginia Tech RB Bhayshul Tuten in Round 4 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Tuten carried the Virginia Tech offense for two years after transferring from North Carolina A&T. He posted two straight seasons of 1,000+ total yards and 10+ TDs. It’s easy to love his explosion and toughness on film, especially given the number of stacked boxes that he faced. Physically, Tuten is an absolute freak. At the Combine, he proved it with a 4.32 forty time, a 10’10” broad jump, and a 40.5” vertical. He’s also able to bench press 400 pounds. Overall, he tallied an excellent 9.32 Relative Athletic Score at 5’9, 206 pounds. If he can clean up the drops and fumbles, Tuten could supply some explosive plays in the NFL.
