Dobbins suffered the foot injury on a hip-drop tackle during Denver's Week 10 win over the Raiders. NFL Network reports that it's a "ligament issue" and calls the surgery season-ending.

IR would cost him at least four. Dobbins is worth keeping stashed as we await more information, but fantasy owners should at least plan on him missing Week 11. The Broncos then get a Week 12 bye. Dobbins' absence would likely mean a much bigger role for RB R.J. Harvey, particularly on early downs. The only other RBs on Denver's active roster are Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin.

He'd been playing a small (but annoying) passing-down role, but Denver will instead go with Jaleel McLaughlin as No. 3 RB for this one. McLaughlin could just step into Badie's role -- or we could see a few extra passing-down snaps for RBs J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey.

That did mark his third straight game with at least 3 catches, but Harvey's playing time also reverted badly after what seemed like a breakthrough Week 4 vs. Cincinnati.

A quick check of the Week 3 game stats might make you think that Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins saw his role decrease. He dipped to 11 carries after logging 16 and 14 in the first two contests, and totaled just 12 touches. But the veteran RB actually saw his largest playing-time share to date as Denver left Tyler Badie out of the rotation.

The Broncos registered 40 pass attempts vs. just 22 RB runs in their Week 1 win over the Titans. Fourteen of team's first 17 plays were passes. HC Sean Payton is looking for more balance going forward. “I’ve got to be better there,” Payton said. “It’s one of those day-afters where you look back and say, ‘Alright, let’s look at how we really wanted to start that game and get those two runners going,’ because we think we’ve really improved in that area.”

The Broncos selected UCF RB RJ Harvey in Round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. An ACL tear threatened his football career in 2021, but Harvey’s perseverance paid off. Over the past three seasons, he’s totaled 3,789 rushing yards, 720 receiving yards, and 47 total TDs. Though he is under 5’8, Harvey’s home run ability, combined with soft hands and explosion, makes him an intriguing RB at the pro level. His NFL Combine performance only confirmed his dynamic skill set. The UCF notched a 91st percentile broad jump, an 85th percentile vertical, and a 92nd percentile forty-yard dash. Harvey has also been mentioned as an RB favorite of top draft analysts like NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah and The Athletic’s Dane Brugler.

The Broncos have been one of the teams most commonly assigned a RB in Round 1 of NFL mock drafts. GM George Paton obviously won't give away what his team plans to do on the first night, but he did confirm that we should expect Denver to select a RB ... at some point.

Broncos RB Audric Estime is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Bills. RB Tyler Badie is active for the first time since Week 4. He joins Jaleel McLaughlin and Javonte Williams in the backfield. McLaughlin remains the top fantasy play, although Estime's absence probably gives the biggest boost to Williams.
