Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. He was limited in Thursday's practice and a full-go on Friday, so the rookie is trending toward getting cleared in time for Sunday's kickoff. We should get another update on his status by Sunday morning. Olave will be a strong WR2 play if he ends up playing.
Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. The 29-year-old has seemingly been banged-up all season and is not a must-hold on fantasy rosters.
Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns after a limited week of practice. He’s not a fantasy option, but his return would likely mean fewer pass routes for TE Hunter Henry.
Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. He was in the same boat last week before posting a 7-111-1 line on an 80% snap rate. Meyers should be fine for this weekend's game, but check back around 11:30 am ET to make sure he's active.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns after a limited week of practice. All signs point to Harris missing this game – including New England’s move to elevate RB Kevin Harris from the practice squad. We’ll get the Patriots’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. That's an upgrade from last week, when Jones was doubtful. We're still projecting QB Bailey Zappe to get another start this weekend, but we should get another update on the situation on Sunday morning.
Steelers S Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee), CB Cameron Sutton (hamstring), CB Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring) and CB Levi Wallace (concussion) are out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. S Terrell Edmunds has cleared the concussion protocol and is off the final injury report. He missed last week's game. All the missing CBs can obviously only be good news for Bucs QB Tom Brady and his wideouts.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb) isn’t listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was held out on Wednesday but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. We’re not expecting the right thumb to be an issue vs. the Jets this weekend.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. Allen Lazard, Romeo Doubs and Randall Cobb will serve as Green Bay’s top 3 WRs.
Chiefs K Harrison Butker (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He practiced all week, including full practices on Thursday and Friday. Butker looks safe to get back into fantasy lineups for Sunday’s likely shootout vs. the Bills.
Bucs TE Cameron Brate (concussion) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He’ll be back for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. We’ll see how routes and targets are divvied between Brate and TE Cade Otton, but neither guy is a bankable Week 6 fantasy play.
Bucs WR Russell Gage (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday to a full practice on Friday. That was actually his first full practice of the entire season. So Gage looks relatively healthy heading into a plus matchup vs. the Steelers’ 32nd-ranked WR defense.
Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hip, knee) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He got in a limited practice on Wednesday and a full practice on Friday. Godwin was limited to just 52% of Tampa’s offensive snaps last week, so there’s some risk here. But there’s also plenty of upside in an excellent matchup vs. the Steelers.
Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. He’ll miss his 2nd straight game and 4th total on the season.
Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (groin) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. Hurst has been battling this groin issue since Week 2. He was listed as questionable last week before posting a 6-53-1 line on an 81% snap rate. Assuming he's active, we'd feel comfortable using Hurst as a low-end TE1 this week.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after missing the first 2 days. It’s the worst-case scenario for Higgins owners after he lasted just 10 snaps last week. Hopefully we’ll get a Sunday-morning update on Higgins’ status for this one.
Saints WR Michael Thomas (foot) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. HC Dennis Allen said Friday that Thomas is "getting better," but he remained sidelined in practice all week. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 7.
Saints QB Andy Dalton will start Sunday's game vs. the Bengals, HC Dennis Allen announced Friday. QB Jameis Winston (back, ankle) returned to limited practices this week, so it's unclear if he's not healthy yet or if New Orleans is just sticking with Dalton for now. Dalton is an unexciting QB2 in fantasy lineups, but he's good news for RB Alvin Kamara's target volume.
Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth (concussion) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Bucs. He did get in limited practices this week, giving him a good chance to be cleared for Week 7. Freiermuth's absence this weekend leaves Zach Gentry as Pittsburgh's lead TE. You should be able to do better in season-long lineups.
Ravens RB Justice Hill (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. It looks like it’ll be J.K. Dobbins and Kenyan Drake in Baltimore’s backfield again this weekend.
