Dawson Knox Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot, hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through back and hip injuries last week but is now dealing with 2 different ailments. We'll see if Knox is able to practice tomorrow.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (back, hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He got in 3 limited practices this week and never seemed to be in danger of missing this one. Knox’s usage has been disappointing so far this season, though, and he looks like a TD-or-bust fantasy play.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (back, hip) is expected to play vs. the Ravens today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Knox is listed as questionable but got in 3 limited practices this week. We never heard any real concern about his Week 4 availability.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (back, hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Ravens. He got in 3 limited practices, so we’re tentatively expecting him to play. But Knox obviously won’t be at 100%.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot) is active for today’s game vs. the Dolphins. He played through this injury on Monday night and got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We’re not expecting the foot to be a major issue today.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins. He played through this injury on Monday night and got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We're expecting Knox to play on Sunday, but he won't be at 100%.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be available for this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins but won't be at 100%.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He banged up that foot early in Monday night's win over the Titans but was able to return. He should be available for this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Bills WR Stefan Diggs racked up a 12-148-3 receiving line in Monday night's beatdown of the Titans, drawing 36.8% of QB Josh Allen's targets. With WR Gabriel Davis out, TE Dawson Knox checked in 2nd in targets (5), receptions (4) and receiving yards (41). FB Reggie Gilliam claimed the remaining of QB Josh Allen's 4 TD tosses.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis (ankle) is not expected to play vs. the Titans tonight, "barring a surprise," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "Team has held out hope but playing was considered an uphill battle since Saturday's injury," Fowler tweets. We'll see if Davis can make it back for this coming Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. His absence figures to mean WR Khalil Shakir's debut, although the rookie is really only an option in DFS. Stefon Diggs, Isaiah McKenzie, Jamison and Dawson Knox are candidates for extra targets with Davis out.

The Bills have agreed to a 4-year extension with TE Dawson Knox, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Buffalo had already made it clear that Knox would be the lead TE heading into the season. This further displays the team's belief in the 4th-year player, who had been in the final year of his rookie deal.

Bills TE Dawson Knox is "well ahead" of TE O.J. Howard based on the first few days of training camp, according to The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia. "Howard just hasn’t been a good pass catcher so far," Buscaglia writes. "Although he’s a good blocker, he’s not the best mover on routes and failed to secure a pair of catches he should have on Tuesday." There's still time for Howard to gain ground on Knox, but we'd only consider him a late-round option in TE-premium fantasy drafts at this point. Knox is fairly priced at his TE9 ADP.

It doesn't sound like The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia expects O.J. Howard to push Dawson Knox for the Bills' starting TE job. "Howard has not looked like the dynamic pass catcher he was when he was a first-round pick out of Alabama in 2017," Buscaglia writes. "He also looks like he can be an excellent blocker for 12 personnel while still offering a pass-catching threat. But his movement skills are well below what Knox brings to the table." We'll keep an eye on this situation in August, but we bumped Knox up the TE Rankings and Howard down.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis has been placed on the COVID list. So both Davis and WR Cole Beasley will miss Sunday's pivotal game vs. the Patriots. That leaves Stefon Diggs and Emmanuel Sanders as Buffalo's top 2 WRs, with Isaiah McKenzie likely handling #3 duties. TE Dawson Knox should also play an even bigger role than usual. It's a tough spot for QB Josh Allen against a strong New England defense.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) is not listed on the final injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday. We’re not expecting Knox to be limited in Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. He was sitting 4th among TEs in half-PPR points through Week 6.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jets. Knox averaged 4.5 targets, 3.5 catches, 47.7 yards and .8 TDs over the first 6 weeks of the season.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. Week 10 has been the target for his return from that broken hand, and he appears to have a good chance to play vs. the Jets on Sunday. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. Week 10 has been Knox's expected return target all along, so this doesn't come as a surprise. TE Tommy Sweeney ran a route on 75% of Buffalo's pass plays last week, posting a 3-30 line on 4 targets. He's in play for desperate fantasy owners.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Dolphins. TE Tommy Sweeney will be atop the depth chart for this one but would be a total flier in fantasy lineups.

Bills TE Dawson Knox had surgery on his broken hand and is expected to miss 3 weeks, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Knox has a Week 7 bye, meaning that he should just miss the next 2 games vs. Miami and Jacksonville and return for Week 10. TE Tommy Sweeney is next up on Buffalo's depth chart but is unlikely to be a fantasy factor. WRs Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley should pick up extra targets with Knox out.
