NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Giants RB Cam Skattebo will miss the rest of the season with a dislocated ankle. Skattebo underwent surgery on Sunday night at a Philadelphia-area hospital. "If all is good and clean and the surgery went as well as everyone believes, he should be back with no issues for next year," Rapoport adds. "It's a gruesome injury, but the recovery is actually not as bad."
RB Tyrone Tracy led the Giants in carries and touches in a game that saw Cam Skattebo's season end. Tracy logged 10 carries for 39 yards in the loss to the Eagles and caught two of three targets for 14 yards. That's 3.9 yards per carry and (a decent) 7.0 yards per catch. Devin Singletary carried just twice for no yards and caught his lone target for 28 yards.
Giants RB Cam Skattebo suffered a gruesome right ankle injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. This looked like a season-ender, but we'll keep you updated on the rookie's status. RB Tyrone Tracy will take over as New York's lead back, with Devin Singletary as the No. 2.
Update: Skattebo has a dislocated ankle and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Giants RB Cam Skattebo rushed 25 times for 79 yards in Sunday’s upset win over the Chargers. The Giants held a lead throughout Sunday's game, helping sustain Skattebo’s hefty workload.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks with the dislocated shoulder he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's about the best-case scenario for Tracy. But he'll be at elevated risk of re-injury and likely see his performance as a pass catcher suffer when he returns. Tracy's absence will give rookie Cam Skattebo a chance to lay claim to the lead RB job. He played 70% of the Giants' snaps and handed 8 of 12 RB carries after Tracy went down in Week 3. RB Devin Singletary got the other four rush attempts.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy suffered a right shoulder injury in the first half of Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He was in obvious pain and headed straight back to the locker room. Tracy is officially questionable to return. His absence leaves New York's backfield to Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary.
Giants RB Cameron Skattebo had a "setback" on Friday, HC Brian Daboll said. We don't have any details on Skattebo's injury. But the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard writes, "It was obvious Skattebo had an injury. Missed 2 practices. They brought him back yesterday and it was too soon."
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He aggravated an ankle injury in the Week 16 loss to the Falcons and seems iffy for Sunday's game vs. the Colts. We'll update Tracy's status again tomorrow. His absence would leave Devin Singletary as New York's lead back -- and a low-level fantasy option.
Giants HC Brian Daboll said Monday that RB Tyrone Tracy aggravated his ankle injury in the loss to the Falcons, according to Matt Citak of the team website.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy only had 10 carries for 31 yards and lost the only Giants rushing TD to RB Devin Singletary. Tracy did add one catch for four yards, but it was far from an effective fantasy performance.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. again led the backfield with 21 backfield touches to Devin Singletary’s two. Tracy only rushed for 45 yards on 16 carries but did fine the endzone. He also drew 10 targets catching five for 38 yards.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy played 47 snaps to Devin Singletary's 18 in Sunday's loss to the Commanders, according to Pro Football Focus. Tracy got more work in both the run game (16 carries to 7) and receiving (16 routes to 6), despite coming off a Week 8 concussion.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (concussion) put in a full practice on Friday and is off the final injury report. He’s been cleared to play vs. the Commanders this weekend, despite sustaining a concussion on Monday night. Tracy was dominating rushing work before that head injury, out-carrying RB Devin Singletary 20 to 2 for the game. The rookie is a solid RB2 in Week 9 fantasy lineups.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (concussion) is meeting with the independent neurologist on Friday afternoon and is expected to be cleared for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. That's a fast trip through the protocol for Tracy after his Monday night concussion. But, if he's cleared, he should be New York's lead back on Sunday. Tracy played 60% of the offensive snaps last week, handling 20 of 22 RB carries.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He worked in a red non-contact jersey. Tracy still has multiple stages of the protocol to pass through but at least has a chance to play vs. the Commanders this weekend. We'll update his status again tomorrow.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He's a long shot to be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Commanders, which comes just six days after his concussion. RB Devin Singletary figures to dominate backfield work for the G-Men this weekend.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy told USA Today's Art Stapleton after Monday night's loss to the Steelers that he's in concussion protocol. Tracy exited late in the fourth quarter with a head injury, although the team never confirmed the concussion. The rookie had a huge game before the injury, ripping off 145 yards and a score on 20 carries. He's clearly claimed the Giants' starting RB job -- but will likely miss Week 9's game against the Commanders. We'll track his progress through the protocol this week. Tracy's absence would make RB Devin Singletary a viable fantasy starter.
Rookie RB Tyrone Tracy played 39 of the Giants' 58 snaps (67.2%) in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. RB Devin Singletary got onto the field for just 12, with RB Eric Gray jumping in for 6 snaps.
Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) was limited in practice all week but is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Eagles. Per ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the Giants will “keep an eye on Singletary to see how he’s doing off groin injury. So they will likely ease him back into game action.” HC Brian Daboll also said that RB Tyrone Tracy will “get plenty of playing time.” It sounds like there’s a chance Tracy continues to lead this backfield in Week 7.
Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He put in three limited practices last week before missing the Bengals game, so this doesn't necessarily tell us much about Singletary's status for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days. Tyrone Tracy has rattled off RB18 and RB5 PPR finishes with Singletary out the past two weeks.
