Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard practiced in full Wednesday and was listed only for the back issue, which was the June surgery whose recovery kept him out to open the season. It's good news that the team isn't listing his broken nose that required more recent surgery. Leonard's inactivity in the wake of that kept HC Frank Reich from playing him in last week's loss at Tennessee, despite full practices leading up to the weekend. Leonard seems to be on track to return for this Sunday's game against Washington. That would likely take playing time away from IDP revelation Zaire Franklin. We'll watch for word on whether Leonard will immediately assume a full-time role.

Packers WR Allen Lazard (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He was knocked out of last week's game with this injury and is in danger of missing Sunday night's game vs. the Bills. We'll see if Lazard is able to get back on the practice field tomorrow. WRs Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and Christian Watson (hamstring) were limited Wednesday.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Pete Carroll hasn't quite ruled him out for this weekend's game vs. the Giants, but Metcalf seems like an extreme long shot for that one. Marquise Goodwin is expected to step in as Seattle's #2 WR behind Tyler Lockett.

Rams WR Van Jefferson (knee) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He was just designated to return from IR earlier this week after early-August knee surgery. We'll see if Jefferson is ready for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Kyle Shanahan labeled Samuel "day to day" on Monday, but his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Rams is in question. WR Jauan Jennings (hamstring) also missed Wednesday's practice. We'll get another update on both guys tomorrow.

Commanders TE Logan Thomas (calf) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. He's been sidelined since hurting that calf in practice on October 7. We'll see if he's able to make it back for Sunday's game vs. the Colts. TE Cole Turner missed Wednesday's practice with a concussion.

Commanders WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. It doesn't look like he'll make it back for Sunday's game vs. the Colts.

Texans WR Nico Collins (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. He seems unlikely to play vs. the Titans this weekend, which would give WR Brandin Cooks a projected target boost.

Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He returned after hurting that ankle last week, so we're tentatively expecting him to play vs. the Texans on Sunday. But we'll get another update on his status tomorrow. Rookie QB Malik Willis will draw the start if Tannehill is out.

Jets WR Corey Davis (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. Reportedly dealing with a sprained MCL, he's unlikely to play vs. the Patriots this weekend. That'll leave Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore as the top-2 WRs for the run-heavy Jets.

Saints TE Adam Trautman (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. If he remains out for this weekend's game vs. the Raiders, TE Juwan Johnson will be a low-end spot-start option in fantasy lineups.

Saints WRs Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on either guy in Week 8 lineups.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That seemingly gives him a chance to return for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. We'll get another update on his progress tomorrow.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (foot) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He seemed to make it out of last week's win just fine, so this is likely more of a rest day after he handled another 23 touches vs. Houston. Jacobs should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Saints, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.

Raiders QB Derek Carr (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice. We've heard nothing to suggest that his availability for Sunday's game vs. the Saints is in question, but we'll keep an eye on him over the next few days.

Cardinals RBs James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) got in limited practices on Wednesday. Both guys seemingly have a shot to make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. We're guessing that Conner would re-assume lead duties, but RB Eno Benjamin might have earned himself a bigger role. Williams will likely return as the #3 RB.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He was limited all last week before missing the Cowboys game. Barring a setback, he should return for Sunday's game against Miami.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. Lions HC Dan Campbell said earlier this week that St. Brown wasn't actually diagnosed with a concussion, but the new protocols still require him to go through this process. Barring a surprise, he'll be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He's made a habit of sitting out on Wednesday this year, so we're not worried about his Week 8 status at this point. We'll update Hockenson's status again tomorrow, ahead of Sunday's game vs. Miami.

Cowboys WR Noah Brown (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any other details, but his availability for Sunday's game vs. the Bears is now in question. We'll see if Brown is able to practice on Thursday.
