Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bills WR Emmanuel Sanders (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. If he's unable to play vs. the Jets this weekend, Gabriel Davis would again be a high-upside WR3.
Jets WR Jamison Crowder (calf) was limited in Wednesday's practice. WR Braxton Berrios (quad) was sidelined. We'll see which of these slot receivers is able to play vs. the Bills this weekend.
Jets RB Michael Carter (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie is in danger of missing this weekend's finale vs. the Bills. We'll see if he's able to practice tomorrow.
Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He needs 59 yards to break Mike Ditka's record for receiving yards in a season by a rookie TE, but it looks like he might not get the chance.
Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) was limited in Wednesday's practice. That's an upgrade over last week, when he only got in a limited practice on Friday. We'll see if Conner can make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks.
Giants WR Kadarius Toney (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It gives him a shot to play vs. Washington this weekend. We'll keep tabs on Toney over the next couple of days.
Washington RB Antonio Gibson (hip) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He came off the COVID list earlier in the day and seems on track to play vs. the Giants this weekend.
Lions QB Jared Goff (knee) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. That's an upgrade after he was sidelined all last week. We'll see if Goff can make it back for Sunday's finale vs. the Packers.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The Ravens haven't been eliminated from the playoffs quite yet, but they're a long shot, so there's little reason to push Jackson when he's not at 100%. Look for QB Tyler Huntley to start vs. the Steelers this weekend.
Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Broncos on Saturday night, setting up RB Darrel Williams as a strong fantasy play again.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that NFL stat corrections have awarded a forced fumble and an assisted tackle on top of the Week 17 stars for Colts LB Darius Leonard. That could be a pretty significant points addition, which will vary quite a bit between scoring formats. If Leonard played on either team in your league’s title game, the check your scores
Chargers TE Jared Cook has been activated from the COVID list. He'll be back for Sunday night's win-and-in game vs. the Raiders.
The Broncos placed QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) on IR. It's confirmation that QB Drew Lock will start Saturday's finale vs. the Chiefs. Bridgewater is set to hit the free-agent market in March.
Texans RB David Johnson has been activated from the COVID list. He figures to play vs. the Titans on Sunday but should only steal a handful of touches from RB Rex Burkhead.
Broncos WRs Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick have been activated from the COVID list. They'll be back for Saturday's game vs. the Chiefs.
Jets RB Tevin Coleman has been activated from the COVID list. He figures to operate as New York's lead back vs. the Bills on Sunday if RB Michael Carter doesn't clear the concussion protocol.
Bucs HC Bruce Arians said Wednesday that RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is on track to return for the playoffs. As long as that hammy is right, Fournette should step back into the role that fed him 13.2 carries and 5.9 targets over the first 13 games of the season.
Bears HC Matt Nagy said QB Justin Fields (ankle) will put in a full practice on Wednesday and start Sunday's finale vs. the Vikings. Fields has missed the past 2 games, but he finished as a top-10 fantasy QB in each of his previous 4 full games. He's an intriguing Week 18 DFS play.
Cowboys LB Micah Parsons tested positive for COVID Wednesday. The Saturday night kickoff would seem to make it difficult for him to make it back, but we're not yet seeing Parsons reported as being out for the game. If he does miss the regular-season finale, then LBs Leighton Vander Esch and Keanu Neal should see playing-time boosts. Vander Esch would be our preferred IDP play.
Vikings QB Kirk Cousins has been activated from the COVID list. He's expected to start Sunday's finale vs. the Bears, despite Minnesota having nothing to play for. Cousins isn't an exciting fantasy option, but his return is excellent news for WR Justin Jefferson and the rest of the Vikings' skill-position players.
