Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. RB Le'Veon Bell's release might have been a sign that Murray is ready for return for this weekend's game vs. the Bears. It's unclear what kind of role he'll have alongside RB Devonta Freeman
Ravens WR Marquise Brown (thigh) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any details on the injury, but it's slightly concerning with Baltimore coming off extra rest after Thursday night's loss to the Miami. Check back tomorrow for another update on Brown.
Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He wound up playing just 9 snaps last week, presumably because of this rib injury. Beasley can't be trusted in fantasy lineups until we see him back in a full-time role.
Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Falcons. He's not a fantasy option, but his absence would be a boost for TE Hunter Henry.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (concussion) is not listed on the final injury report. He's been cleared to return for Thursday night's game vs. the Falcons. RB Rhamondre Stevenson went off in Harris' absence last week, making this a tough backfield to project for Week 11. Our best guess is that Harris returns to a lead role but cedes more work to Stevenson than he had been. RB Brandon Bolden will continue mixing in on passing downs.
Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said his team is operating under the assumption that QB Mason Rudolph will start Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. QB Ben Roethlisberger has a chance to come off the COVID list ahead of that game, but it sounds like it's unlikely. Rudolph was a disaster in last week's tie vs. the Lions, averaging 4.8 yards per pass attempt.
Jaguars RB James Robinson (heel, knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through the heel issue last weekend, but the knee is new. Check back tomorrow for an update on Robinson's status.
49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (finger) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Kyle Shanahan still expects him to play vs. Jacksonville this weekend, despite undergoing surgery on Tuesday. But Mitchell owners should still be making backup plans for Week 11. RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle) also missed Wednesday's practice.
Falcons TE Hayden Hurst (ankle) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Patriots. Hurst has played 52% of Atlanta's offensive snaps this season but averaged just 2.8 targets per game, so there's not much fantasy impact here.
Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) was limited again on Wednesday and is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Patriots. HC Arthur Smith said that Patterson will be a game-time decision. We'd be surprised if he played if he's truly dealing with a high-ankle sprain as has been speculated. Patterson would come with elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he does end up active.
Lions QB Jared Goff (oblique) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this injury in last week's tie vs. the Steelers but shouldn't be considered a lock for Sunday's game against the Browns. If Goff can't go, Detroit would start QB Tim Boyle.
Browns HC Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that RB Kareem Hunt (calf) is "getting close" to returning. Hunt won't play in Sunday's game vs. the Lions, Stefanski said, but it sounds like a Week 12 return is possible. We'll keep you updated.
Jets QB Joe Flacco is expected to start Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. QB Zach Wilson's knee still isn't back to 100%, and the Jets are evidently done with QB Mike White after his 4-INT outing vs. the Bills last week. Flacco joined the team just a few weeks ago. He made 4 starts for the Jets last year -- albeit under a different coaching staff -- averaging 212 yards and 1.5 TDs on 6.4 yards per attempt. Flacco isn't a fantasy option, but he's also probably not a downgrade from White or Wilson at this point.
Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) has been designated to return from IR and will practice on Wednesday. Insider Eliot Shorr-Parks believes there's a "good chance" that Sanders returns for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. We'll see exactly how backfield work is divvied between Sanders, Jordan Howard, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell. It's a situation to try to avoid in Week 11 against the league's top-ranked RB defense.
Chargers EDGE Joey Bosa and DL Jerry Tillery landed on the COVID list Tuesday. We'll see whether either player has a shot to make it back ahead of Sunday night's game against the Steelers.
Patriots RB Damien Harris returned to a limited practice on Tuesday -- his first since sustaining a concussion in Week 9. It gives him a shot to be cleared for Thursday night's game vs. the Falcons. We'll get another update on Harris tomorrow.
Falcons WR Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) got in a limited practice on Tuesday. That at least gives him a shot to play vs. the Patriots on Thursday night. We'll see what he does in Wednesday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report.
49ers RB Elijah Mitchell fractured a finger in Monday night's win over the Rams, HC Kyle Shanahan said. Mitchell will undergo surgery, but the team hopes he can practice on Wednesday and isn't ruling him out for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. We'll keep an eye on Mitchell's status, as well as JaMycal Hasty, who missed Week 10 with an ankle injury. RB Jeff Wilson, who carried 10 times in his 2021 debut on Monday night, could be in line for lead duties this weekend.
The Ravens released RB Le'Veon Bell. The 29-year-old is clearly out of gas, averaging 2.7 yards across 31 carries for Baltimore. Devonta Freeman has emerged as the Ravens' clear lead back over the past few weeks. We'll see if RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is able to return for this Sunday's game vs. the Bears.
Niners S Jimmie Ward (quad) is active for tonight's game against the Rams. He returns after missing Week 9 with the injury.
